I love bollywood movies but I've actually never watched their dramas--mostly because I've seen wayy too many aunties…
My advice is to watch a few episodes....... and then drop it if you don't like it. Who knows!!.... it might be your cup of tea. :) Don't judge it based on HYD. Its an Indian drama.....so it has the required Bollywoodness (is that a word? LOL)
LOL........what is it with the evil women in asian dramas (specially thai) all screaming like banshees? I regret wearing headphones during their screeching . :D
I have watched quite a few Thai dramas, but one of the various thing that I love about this one is the way Thai language sounds in this drama. I don't know if Thai spoken in daily life sounds like in the lakorns but it is quite harsh. It might be because it is older (The oldest drama I've seen till date, all the other dramas I've watched are after 2000) and the way Thai was spoken in that time was different, but it is softer and more pleasant.
The only remake from the list I've ever watched is Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan. Hana Yori Dango is one of my all time favorite and KYY deviates so much from the actual plot that it is better to call it a very very loose adaptation rather than a remake. I was pretty horrified by what they did to the drama. Before seeing this I wouldn't have thought one could make a guilty pleasure cliche plot even more cliched.
re-watching the trailer and waiting............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
a solid performance from the cast. They really brought out the complex personalities of the main characters. It was a emotional roller-coaster. You could actually relate with the motives driving the best and the worst of their actions.
every-time I watch this drama I realize that on the perfect scale of 1 to 10..... my life is in negative. Its so dreamy and perfect!! I wouldn't be surprised to know that they have pink unicorns in their world :P
why do these dramas have sad endings!!!! If it weren't for others like Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms or General and I, I would have given up on Chinese historicals.
Its so hard to find a HEA!!!
Saw it finally!!!
As for the much debated confusing ending.....it felt like they wanted to hint that Mo Yuan and Ye Hua are the same person....no twin brother relation here. Mo Yuan's soul scattered.....Ye Hua was born.....Ye Hua's soul scattered....Mo Yuan woke up.
So Qian Qian ends up with Mo Yuan I guess....
I am really looking forward to watching this. I love the drama and the novel. But i'm kinda bummed reading all the comments......is it really that confusing??? :(
