I watched the 1st and 3rd lives with interest but skipped most of the 2nd life after Rachawadee remembered her past. It got quite boring with minimal interaction between Chai Yai and Rachawadee and Chai Yai trying to matchmake Rachawadee and Jirayuth. But it was quite satisfying to watch Rachawadee having an increasingly stronger personality in every lifetime and speaking her mind about only loving Chai Yai in every lifetime. Speaking of Rachawadee, her death in the 2nd life was even more tragic and pitiful than her 1st life. One thing that the show was liberal with are the peeks into the not so peaceful lives of the rest of the characters after the death of the main leads in each lifetime. Ying Thae spent a long lonely life with hatred in her heart, and didn't find peace even in death till the very end. Jirayuth and Sawanya had a rocky marriage resulting in divorce and Sawanya had to be forever on the run from creditors. Karma is a boomerang!! The 3rd lifetime finally delivered the happily ever after the main leads deserved after so much pain in 2 lifetimes. It was fun to watch Jilakorm and Antra look so cute and confused when they couldn't figure out why they felt such a irresistible attraction to each other and simultaneous flashbacks. And as I stated before, the best example of her increasingly strong-willed personality was in this lifetime. I laughed so hard when she told Jilakorm she will sleep with him if he followed her, right in front of his mother. Giiiiiiiiirrllllll!!!...that was Savage!!. Jilakorm's wide eyed expression was so funny .(≧∇≦)ъ ナイス!
Though I have absolutely no idea about Thai history ..... it was cute to see Kade fangirling over all the historical characters and places. I wish I had some knowledge about Thai history so I could relate (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*: ・゚
Things that I liked in the modifications in the storyline of this version is the face to face talk between Tiyuttithorn and Rangsiymun which cleared up a lot of misunderstandings, the MCs interaction as children, the satisfying wedding ceremony of the OTP and the lack of the treason plotline. Things that were unnecessary i.e the parts that I totally skipped were the addition of the sisters who had very less direct interaction with the MCs and even lesser character growth. I skipped the whole section whenever the two princesses and their lackeys were on screen . Overall I enjoyed this version too and IMHO, is better than the 2007 version though can't compare to the original. I recommend every fan of the 1996 version, to give this a try. (ˊ•͈ ◡ •͈ˋ)
Only 30 min into the 1st episode and the crisis management team has to run almost all over South Korea to round up the members of the family......WHAT A FAMILY!!!! :D
I have watched the 1st season and read the novel after that. Now going to start season 2. Hopefully it won't be disappointing *fingers crossed* Edit: Not bad .... quite enjoyed it
A great drama to binge watch on a weekend. Interesting characters, Nice soundtrack, Cute OTP, overall a good drama. But........BUT.....I couldn't avoid drawing comparisons to TMOPB....and the urge to rewatch it (already at ep 4 :D).
I love how Do Jin and Jae Yi are tough and mature at all times except when they face each other. They become their 16-year-old self when together, all sweet, innocent and shy. At somewhere around ep29 Jae Yi said something like "Time stopped when I was 16. After 12 years, time started passing again". Their romance reflected this line. Their love for each other remained constant even though they were apart.
The only one I haven't watched among these 5 is 'Demon Girl'. I liked Yulkan Merxat in 'Legend of Yun Xi' and 'Memory Lost'. 'Demon Girl' has been on my plan to watch list for quite some time. I guess its time to start it.
Its been a while since I watched this one, and I've watched quite a few chinese fantasy dramas since then. But rewatching it now made me realise that this one of the few dramas where the FL's character is elegant, composed, powerful and unforgiving to the evil dudes. Bai Qian <3
