I don't understand what exactly is annoying people about her character? She is not perfect and sometimes acts reckless but she is fighting for something bigger, that actually benefits entire country and serves justice to many downtrodden people. So, what is annoying ? Yes, she doesn't want to bend her principles in this fight for justice. And when everything goes downhill she always saves the day by being flexible with her principles. She didn't rub her principles on her sisters. She clearly told them she supports their happiness and inturn asked In Joo to not ask her to leave the fight and run off in the middle. Don't tell me she should have a "better plan". Drama clearly showed elections are approaching and she is running out of time to expose him and she never wanted him dead, his death is completely a shock to herself and everyone except Sanga, his wife.
She is not seeking anything for herself. Imagine how stupid the character would have been if she runs off with the money to foreign country as In Joo suggested, what about all the sacrifices everyone made in collecting the evidence? Out of all the sisters her character development is amazing. I am very satisfied both with the character and the acting.
Is it me or does anyone think that character Oh In Kyung's past struggles or backstory has not been shown yet in the drama properly? It is only through some dialogues here and there about how was life for her with her great-aunt, her alcoholism, and anger management issues, being treated as a thief among the rich kids...., the writer painted her backstory vaguely. I wish drama shows in the future episodes why she holds principles like justice so dear and why she never bows down to money and her childhood life with her great-aunt. They showed why In Joo is obsessed with money, I wish they show why In Kyung is obsessed with justice and unveiling the truth.
The Writer of this show has this to say about her characters- "When I draw female characters, I want them to be loved with their flaws & shortcomings exposed. From there the story begins. The story of a character who makes the right choice, the perfect choice, has no place to begin." -Jung SeoKyung, Little Women writer-nim
Hey, go easy on sisters. They all have different personalities, goals, and drives and all equally want to achieve what they want irrespective of the consequences. The characters are gray, you can be with or against them and both opinions hold value. If they don't stumble, how will the story move!!!!
She is resilient. she got humiliated but she got back and started the investigation, something we all need to…
Okay. Oh In Kyung confronts him at the party because Oh In Hye went to that party not listening to her. she was drunk there. She is not perfect and the series of events shows her personality. She might slow down and goes strategically now and this leaves scope for character development
no but people hating on oh in kyung and here i 😶,one of my fav characters i know she is annoying but idk why…
I don't think she is annoying or for that matter any of the sisters. they have different personalities and ambitions , they all move towards them. yes she made a mistake by rushing but she admitted it and learnt.
Wow...the 3 sisters are frustrating.... If Park Jae Sang won't kill them then probably i will...lol...People around…
This line- "she is fine if people around her die without food because they are poor, she will be still happy because at least they died as a good people"- In Kyung never said that. She said she would rather die than being called a thief and she doesn't mind being poor. She is not stupid, she knows when and where to bow down. She agreed to In Joo using the money when In Hye's life was at stake. She swallowed her pride and kneeled down begore great aunt for the money. Yes she is principled but also flexible. She was impulsive in asking the politician about real estate, but the context is she got fired and could never have a chance later. If she commits a mistake, she realizes it.
Did you skip the part where Injoo is striking a deal with auntie to get down PSJ and keep the money ? She is obvioulsly…
Yes, I agree, but I don't understand why people cannot sympathize with In Kyung. She is fighting the battle alone against a shady powerful politician. She can only do that before he assumes power, hence she is desperate. She doesn't have the luxury of time to search for each piece of the puzzle. The longer she waits, the truth gets buried. I want to see her character development more in the further episodes.
inkyung is the most annoying out of all sisters. i liked her the most in the beginning but.. not anymore.

I recently started watching alchemy of the soul and the ML is pretty hot blooded and impulsive and indecisive…
Exactly, thanks for this comment. Many are saying In Kyung is terrible journalist and impulsive . I don't understand why people cannot sympathize with In Kyung. She is fighting the battle alone against a shady politician. She can only do that before he assumes power, hence she is desperate. he doesn't have the luxury of time to search for each piece of the puzzle. The longer she waits, the truth gets buried. She has been warning both the sisters since day 1 about this shady family. I saw comments saying she doesn't care about her family. If she doesn't care about them she wouldn't have warned them. What do you expect her character to do ? Does she have to sit quiet and let that shady politician win. And only by bringing truth to light she can save her family.
Words cant describe how much I hate In-Kyung character. Episode 1&2: great. Lost some interest in episode 3&4.…
Oh In Kyung, just like other sisters, is complex. She grew up with her great-aunt listening to her saying that she was abandoned by her family. Hence she grew up alone and she had anger management issues as a child (she getting expelled after throwing stone on her teacher), which the reason might have to do with great-aunt itself. she has suppressed trauma through alcohol and eventually became an addict. The reason behind why her character is the way it is , is not yet revealed. we only got to know In joo backstory. And she doesn't hate Great aunt because she is rich, in the first episode over breakfast she told how the great aunt told her that her family abandoned her and much more. she had anger management issues since she was a child and was treated as a thief among all the rich kinds. she might not have anyone of her siblings and parents to fall back on. Her character makes sense to me though they revealed very less of her struggles. one thing is sure she goes to any length to find the truth and she is committed to being a reporter ( she covered typhoon when every other reporter refused to) though she never wanted to become one. she is imperfect and alcohol addict. she is complex and the story may unfold why
I am still trying to understand In Kyung.....I initially thought she is the idealist types, like who always sticks…

I felt the same. In Kyung's behaviour is like a teenager. How can you expect your sister to be ok with you after…
