Maybe, or it's just a bad show overall. I agree with some of the reviewers; they try so hard to justify the mother's abusive behavior and make the viewers sympathize with her instead of simply making her realize her mistakes and amending what she couldn't do for her son. Even when her son was sick, she still exhibited an abusive attitude (why don't you learn any lessons?).
Regardless of all that, I do appreciate the acting performance of the main cast. They are the only factors that kept me watching this drama, even though I hated it.

Usually, when I don't like a drama or movie, I simply drop it and forget about it. However, since the rating is so high, I forced myself to watch it until the end, just in case I was missing something. As the story progresses, it only gets worse. I hate the mother, I hate the ML, and I feel sorry for the FL.
