On My Day the Series Nov 6, 2020
Director James Ivory once told actress Emma Thompson, "don't cry unless you absolutely have too. If you have to cry, cry once, choose your moment." I hope this director learns to take Mr. Ivory's advice. There was so much crying in this series it ceased to have an emotional impact and became an irritant instead. The multitude of rushed sloppy resolutions at the end is crazy. Suddenly, no matter the problem or the pain all is well with the world subplot after subplot. While series is a mess there is some good here. I'd like to see them try it again without the melodrama and overacting.
I have no words to describe how bad this movie is. The leads are awkward about touching each other and have zero chemistry. Parts of the story are so ridiculous I actually found myself shaking my head while saying "Oh, dear, oh, dear". I think they were going for a twist ending but it utterly failed. I wasn't surprised by the end nor did I care. I felt nothing for these lovers. I only watched it to the end to see if they could possibly make something of the mess but, alas, it just got worse and worse.

I really enjoyed this one. Their chemistry is great. It was sweet. The female is a wise, caring friend. The music was a bit different and fit really well. All in all a very well done short.
On Handsome Stewardess Oct 6, 2020
I was eager to see this because we're way overdue for a good lesbian series. Sadly, this isn't it. It should have been good but at the end of the last episode all I could say was "Ugh".
On U-Prince: Teddy Jul 11, 2020
This is the 1st U-Prince I've watched. I sincerely hope the next one is better than this mess. Maybe I'm too old for this but the female lead was very off putting from her first scene. I just couldn't stand how she acted. So entitled, giggly and selfish. I don't see how anyone could like her.

Title Kiss Me Again Spoiler
After the 1st two episodes I fast forwarded thru the rest only stopping for Pete/Kao scenes. There is so much wrong with this series. Most of the characters are not nice people - they are selfish and bitchy. Friends are betrayed left and right. People do horrible things without consequences. There are a lot of physical and sexual assaults. For example, a man beats a woman to rape her while his friend records it. She is rescued but the police are not called and the woman doesn't seem traumatized by it. This same rapist then stabs another man, still no police, but he later apologizes and is forgiven so I guess it's okay to be a rapist. Watch the 3 Pete/Kao episodes on YouTube and give this one a wide birth. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
On Hikinukiya: Headhunter no Ryugi Jun 2, 2020
I wanted to like it so much I watched it to the end hoping it would get better. But it didn't. I couldn't get past the employment dynamic. They hire someone with no experience in the field to do a job that can earn big for the company and just turn her loose with absolutely no training or instruction. Most of the 'drama' in these episodes could have been avoided if the boss had talked to her and worked with her. Somewhat watchable with no rewatch value.

I watched this thru episode 6. It's good and interesting but so dark. I'm going to take a break from this and finish it when things get better in the world. I'm going to stick to lighter dramas for the foreseeable future.
On Crisis: Special Security Squad May 5, 2020
Just finished episode 1 and it's very good. I love Oguri Shun in this except did anyone else find his character's pick up lines in the bar creepy? I thought he sounded like a serial killer. If I was that woman I would have called somebody to come pick me up.
On HIStory3: Make Our Days Count May 4, 2020
I commented before about the terrible ending but failed to comment on the beginning episodes. Hao Ting and his friends are bullies. Violent bullies. I had a hard time getting past the apparent okay-ness of them being bullies and the good guys. I also wonder how you can start liking the bully who hurts you. The middle part was good but the beginning and especially the ending make this a big miss in the HIStory series.

This is a lovely short story. Yes, I would have liked to spend more time with them but that's the nature of a short story. I liked it and will watch it again.

Is it weird that I really want to know why Lin Xun speaks korean ? He said it was a part time job but didn't give…
They said Lin Xun had a perfect score on his college entrance exam. Someone that bright could pick up Korean working with Korean speaking people.

This BL is just about perfect. I can't imagine kisses being done any better and there were lots of them. I really liked this couple and think their love will last. Techno was a great friend. We should be so lucky to have a friend like him. I do have a couple of things that needed to be addressed. Tharn should have made it very clear after the first hit that there would never be another. Saying you have a mean mouth or a bad temper is not an excuse. Although that problem seems to have resolved itself as their love settled in it was unspoken and should not have been. The other two big unresolved issues were at Type's home with his father and friend. I was disappointed it ended before he acted but pleasantly surprised that they took care of it in the special. Overall I give it a 10.
On Kore wa Keihi de Ochimasen! Mar 13, 2020
This is one of those shows I watch just to be entertained and I certainly was. I liked the characters and the storylines. The developing romance was just right for those two personalities. I wish I could have seen how their romance developed over time. I really liked this one. I will definitely watch it again.
On The Sweet Girl Mar 13, 2020
I guess I'm the dissenter regarding this show. I tried to like it because of the reviews but I couldn't. I ended up fast forwarding thru most of it. So much of it was either really silly or boring. The romances were pretty good but not enough to save it for me.

This show is not meant to be taken seriously. I liked it and I absolutely loved the ending. Will our innocent chick become a 'monster'?

The film makers were being 'arty' but to me it is awful to watch. It is all extreme close ups, blurred images and fast cuts. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Title Nagi's Long Vacation Spoiler
Don't read this if you don't want to know the ending!! I really hate the Japanese penchant for dramas that end like this. These infuriating shows go something like this..."I really love you and I know you really love me so let's break up. I would rather work than be happy with someone I love." What is that? Can't you do both? I wish there were warning labels on this crap so I don't have to be so disappointed in characters I've taken an interest in. I wish I hadn't watched it.
On Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me Sep 10, 2019
The first few episodes were pretty good and I was looking forward to the ML and FL growing close. Instead, more and more characters were added - more bullies and more love interests. There is an endless barrage of stupid challenges/bets, incompetent teachers and bully after bully. The student bullies and the teacher bullies get away with it. By the time of the final "cliffhanger" I had lost all interest in this mess. I don't care what happens and will not watch season 2.
On Long Time No See Sep 5, 2019
I can't get over how good this show is. The dialog is powerful and the story is interesting. I could feel what the actors were feeling from the blush of new love to extreme fear. The two MLs are perfect together. The loving sister is wonderful. Even the bad guy does a great, evil job. I wish we could have seen that they found new jobs at the end. Overall I give this a 10/10.
