"This drama is mostly about Heesu, not Heesu and Seung Won as a couple so maybe that's why. I don't know."Oh this…
That's probably their issue. The straight couple are in no way getting more screen time than our main. It's just that, their relationship keeps on developing every time we see them, they're already dating. And that's why people are crashing out. But to someone who has read the manhwa it must be a disappointment with a lot of changes. I haven't read the manhwa and I like it so far.
If some people are here for the kisses and NC scenes, this is definitely not for them.
After reading all the comments and writing a comment myself, I finally watched it and guess what...... I like it. For someone who hasn't read the manhwa(like me); This is a soft coming of age with a slow burn.
First two episodes are all about Heesu and even the episodes after that we have most things related to him. So, I don't know why people said the straight couple got more screen time than the main. This drama is mostly about Heesu, not Heesu and Seung Won as a couple so maybe that's why. I don't know.
From all the past episodes we have progressed quite things. Like, Heesu not thinking about Chan Yeong at all when he was spending time with Seung Won and Ji Yu. Even the way he looks at Seung Won has changed.
And considering this was filmed in COVID when K-BLs were not that many in sight and Ahn Ji Ho was still a minor, I think the director tried to bring a soft starter.
I was so hesitant about whether to watch it or not cause of all the negative reviews I read. And also pretty disappointed cause why adapt a BL manhwa and remove the whole BL, making it straight. But after watching it, it's still a LGBTQ series. The main character is gay, he likes a guy, another guy has a crush on him who has two moms, there are girls who like girls.
I don't know about you all but I kinda liked it. It's not THAT good but it's not THAT bad either. That's all!
Okay. I had been waiting for this series to end, so that I could binge it. But from all the comments, it seems like the series is not worth a watch. And WHY does Korea always do this? Why add a straight couple, replace a gay couple, and give more screen time to the straight couple? Just make everything the same as the source material. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!
That damn IG close friends. I know for a fact that only his Phi' Akin is in there and no one else.
I'm loving everything about this series but the non-con sensual kiss was a little 'ummmm' and I was trying to just look past that. But-- I was hit by the last scene in episode 3. I just hope both of them are drunk.
Many people said both of the characters are green flags and they would do anything to protect each other (was I fooled?). But-- I'm getting toxic vibes. Still, does it stop me from watching it?? HECK NAH!!
I'm ready for everything that's gonna come up. I'm in love already, can't stop my heart. And anyone with two working eyes can see the growing obsession of Jin towards Akin. I wanna see what more is there for me, LOVE THEM BOTH!
WAITING FOR EPISODE 4!!!! 700 YEARS TO GO!!!!!!!!
Edit: I JUST SAW EPISODE 4's PREVIEW!! SWEET LIKE HONEY. 21 days flirtation, kisses, honey licking from the trailer, I WON'T SURVIVE! I need that right now, how the heck am I supposed to wait 700 years for that??!
It was very predictable, I was always 5 steps ahead of the whole police station. That might be cause this is from 2016 and I've watched too many thrillers.
But it's an amazing drama. I loved it sm. The acting and the storyline were really good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
