An entertaining mess

Not a big fan but it was good.

The leads have amazing chemistry. The kisses were really good. The storyline kinda sucked. They tried to do a complicated story with complex characters but failed at it. It's worth a watch though. I'll never be re-watching it but bingeing was fun.

It's always a "I'm doing this for you" and never a "I'm being threatened, what should I do?". I'm not a fan of "I'm breaking up with you for you" type of stories. It just causes unnecessary misunderstandings and separation when you could've just communicated and developed a solution which would benefit both of you and bring you happiness. Or you could just sit and cry together rather than being miserable alone.

MINHYE, MY QUEEN

My review contains spoilers. Also, it's a rant rather than a review — I guess? Haha

Episode 1 wasn't that interesting to me but it sure was a START. Everything that Jinman taught Jian came in hand. "She sure is Jinman's niece". Jian was such a brave and smart girl since she was 10. Minhye, I love her so much. She slayed so hard. At the end, I don't know if she died or— PLEASE DON'T KILL HER. Cried so many times during the whole thing. When the 'brother' of Honda stuttered, it clicked who he was in the present time and I don't know why but I fucking cried at that. When he got multiple bullets I freaking cried again thinking he died. I cried when we saw Honda die again, cried when Minhye met Jinman and hugged him saying "I missed you", cried SO MANY TIMES, Idk.

The ending — I saw it coming. From the very beginning, I never believed he was dead but the only situation keeping me feel like he might be dead was the ''I'm the best" dude (Bae Jeong Min) being there and all the officers who looked into the case but I still had the feeling that he's alive. First, he ain't someone who would just die leaving his niece behind. Second, he knows damn well they ain't letting her live if he dies. Third, the officer at the morgue was so suspicious while he was saying it's a suicide. So my mind thought — A. He's on the other side and is making this into a suicide. B. He's on Jinman's side and is making it a suicide while Jinman's alive. If he actually thought dying will save his niece forever and just survived cause of his subordinates, he's dumb. AND, dumb and Jinman don't belong in the same sentence cause my man's a mastermind.

I've never wanted to see someone's murder being played out as much as I've wanted to see Bale's. I swear I need the second season now, RIGHT NOW. Also, what's with all that prequel synopsis, I thought the second season was a sequel???!
