so was the little boy already dead when Teacher Lee jumped into his body? also, does he need to consume souls to stay alive? I'm wondering since there's that ice stone that can prevent the need to consume souls but its unclear whether he would possess a similar item. In the case that he does not possess a special item like this, the little boy was already dead when he entered the body so is it possible that he's different from other soul shifters since its more of an object possession at that point since there is no soul inhabiting the body?

Call me crazy, but I thought the show was really nice, kind of mature but also kind of childish, kind of funny but also kind of serious. I also thought the age gap was kind of cute. I mean, he's what? Like 30? I think that's old enough to know what is inappropriate and what isn't. As for complaints about the ml, I thought he did a good job playing the subtle and not-so-subtle romantic hints towards fl and his overly empathetic and kind tendencies but what really solidified his character for me was how well he played the more tragic scenes. Every show I've seen him in his crying scenes felt really impactful, but maybe its just me. Overall, I really liked it.

OH MY GOD I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS EXCITED FOR A WEBTOON ADAPTATION..! I have literally been telling my mum about this since the first chapters were translated and here it is..!

I thought the exact same thing! They really omitted a lot of little things that made the characters so memorable. Eun and Jisu's characters frustrated me a lot. I didn't mind the changes to make Eun a bit more rebellious, but theu gave her so many of Jisu's parts. It really hit me when Jisu tried to throw a molotov at him but Eun got in the way, whereas in the webtoon Jisu was the one always standing up for him. Also, the song... such a beautiful piece of plot that they didn't utilize..! I could go on for hours about it but you already know the type of stuff I'm talking about, haha.

IDK about OP, but for me I've noticed that it began with themes of finding self worth and confidence whereas the more recent chapters feel kind of shallow and self-absorbed. It's hard to say exactly why without spoiling, but its more focused on relationship and monetary issues. I have faith that it'll get back on track once they get through the current issues the characters are facing, though.

In webtoon, there are a lot of scenes that Hyunsu has with his "other self," or the virus (the webtoon is insanely different from the drama, don't worry too much about spoilers from webtoon talk). It continually asks him what it is that he wants, what he wanted more than anything. It's suggested, especially with the fetus monster, that in their mind, they are living their desire. For her, her child never died. For hyunsu, he was with his family when they died. As Hyunsu pushes against the monster's advances, he's able to control it a little better. At the end of the webtoon, he's revealed to have wanted to be a hero, like in the anime he watched, so he was able to save everyone. The slime monster in episode 9 was actually a little boy who was playing hide and seek with his mother when he watched her get eaten alive. He was terrified and so he gave into his desires of wanting to be invisible... and turned into goop. It's the strength of the desire, as well as the virus's knowledge of your desire that determines when symptoms start. If you remember, "auditory hallucinations" was highly searched before the internet went down and was key in the monsterization process. These hallucinations are actually the virus prodding at their hosts to find information on their desires.

I feel that the biggest place that they went wrong was that they tried to take an original work and turn it into something else, which took a beuatifully set framework and bent it in all the wrong directions. The original comic really does go into the depths that people can sink to before they become monsters. They had one girl who literally tried to kill people to live and they actually portrayed it well. One of Jisu's best lines in the comic basically says that neither people nor monsters are evil, necessarily, they’re just scared. I think you'd like the webtoon if you don't mind reading comics.

If you hated him on the drama you’ll want to kill him in the webtoon, haha. The comic really showed the worst in people that the drama didn’t show. I highly suggest it (Bastard too!)

Tbh, I was very disappointed. Not by the actors or the CGI, but the plot. Ive been a fan of this artist since Bastard, so when Sweet Home got an adaptation I was so hyped. They managed to succed in both areas i was worried about... but it’s nothing like what I'd hoped. The sequence of events is entirely different, they ommitted my favorite character (the cop) and just about every body's least favorite character (glasses girl), not to mention every beautiful little scene in between that made Sweet Home into the masterpiece that it was. Every relationship is portrayed differently and at this point i wish they had made a different story in the same situation because it feels like a half-assed version of that to me. If you liked it, that’s great! I'm not saying ya'll have no taste, but I just... was so disappointed.

Does anyone know how far ahead the webtoon is in Korean vs English? Cause that could have an impact on the direction the drama will take... I'm up-to-date but I don't have the money to pay for fast pass... (I'd probably use it on How to Become a Dragon and Kiss Bet anyways, tho)

I wonder how the monsters will look? Korean CGI tends to look awkward to me and I don't know how else they could make them similar to the webtoon. The only other conclusion I can draw is that they'll look more like zombies with extra evolutionary abilities. It makes me really nervous for the show...
