Does anyone know any dramas/movies similar to this?
I haven't really watched it, but since I heard it's deep and sadly serene, I think Hymn of Death (3 eps), and That Winter The Wind Blows(16 eps) are slightly similar. Idk tho. you might or might not like what I suggested, but maybe give it a try?
Omg! This is such a sweet and lovely drama. One of the most well paced as well. It had the perfect amount of cheese and romance and warmed my heart. I was skeptical on watching it since it was super old and I didn't know if I'd like it, but honestly, I like it more than most love stories these days. Definitely worth a watch.
The fact that this drama is based on true events saddens me. It was deep, heart touching and very aesthetic and I love the script. I just love how the drama was directed as a whole. Love the acting, the cast, the music. This drama would've been perfect for me if not for the lack of logic, if that make sense. I mean, I'm all up for LJS and SHS, but I feel like it was not that well paced. Rushed at times and then it slows down all of a sudden. But I won't hold that against this master piece. It was melancholic and very raw and felt real. Definitely worth a watch!
Okay... I haven't watched the movie yet. Gonna watch it now. And I know how it's gonna be. Lee Jong Suk is a supposed 'serial killer' and I'll probably cheer him on with the killing because he's LEE JONG SUK XD I'm completely smitten by him and this movie is gonna mess with my brain but he's Lee Jong Suk, right? LJS naturally messes with brains. He's supernatural that way.
Update: 20 mins in and I didn't cheer him on like I though I would, lol.... but I got through 20 mins of the movie and that counts for something right? Especially since I'm squeamish....
Update 2: Done with the movie... ..... ..... Kill me if I understood what happened in it. I mean, I did understand. A little. I know the main plot but I didn't know what really went on. LJS is definitely a great actor, which is why I watched VIP. And he lived the role, yes, but I felt like the movie had too much talking. I mean, it could have been better. The cast was great and the storyline was okay, but the movie had so much more potential... I can't say if it's worth a watch, because I myself didn't understand the movie that well to judge it, but I wanted to watch it and now I'm done watching it and it's off my watchlist. Definitely will chose Hymn Of Death over this anytime.
First of all, the drama is sexy. And Sakurada Dori looks super adorable but has a very seductive character. And then add this really cute girl who's also a seductress into the mixture. There's no love. Just smut and more smut with a respectable plot. So the result is this very unclean yet passionate and and fulfilling high school romance with no passion, if you know what I mean... I'm a girl who says 'age is just a number' all the freaking time. So I kind of understand the leads who are in 'love' with their teacher.
The movie was beautiful and Itsuku's smile was EVERYTHING. It was slow paced and had a cliched heartwarming story that you can never get bored of. So if u want a break from the twisted plots of drama or lengthy, complicated storylines, this is the movie for you.
If u have expectations to see BL content in this drama, I'm sorry but you will be sourly disappointed. I remember I was when I watched it... (but that's mostly because they clearly had amazing chemistry but never acted on it... my disappointment had nothing to do with their lack of intimacy) But keeping my expectations aside, the storyline and plot was AMAZING and even slightly unique. The bromance was REAL! I really liked the bond Feng Jing and Du Yun Xiu shared. The classiness and rich lives of the protagonists were portrayed in a very aesthetic way and I loved the cinematography. But the ending was definitely not satisfactory tho. I feel like the last episode spoiled the show for me. But if ur not expecting BL and don't mind an unsatisfactory ending, the rest of the show will definitely win your heart. I suggest watching the first three episodes if you want to know if the show is ur cup of tea before u decide to put it aside.
In my opinion, History 3 was just as good as Love By chance. Yes. But is there anything else? Like I've been tearing down google for other good BL drama and can't find any :(
Okay... so the acting was INCREDIBLE and I'm sure no one can deny that. Ji Sung lived the character and made a reasonable plot exciting to watch. Lee Se Young was good as well. The plot was captivating and most will enjoy the drama. The ending could have been better and the supporting cast was really charming and made it all worthwhile. I love the drama as a whole and though there was potential for more romance, most of us forget that this is a medical drama. But who doesn't want a little romance to spice it up, right? Definitely worth a watch. Probably even the best and most exciting Korean Medical drama.
So.... I'm super satisfied with the 13th ad 14th episode. And for good reason. I love that they are portraying the LGBTQ+ community even though it's towards the end of the drama. It has a very light hearted and heartwarming plot and I regret watching it before it finished airing.
