Ok.. joker plot was wrapped up very awkwardly, Idk I think HyangMi swallowed his nut that's why he couldn't move anymore, lmao. Also that's a huge time leap at the end, and apparently only Pilgu grew up in that time.
My thoughts exactly. At least two shows this year can be boiled down to "OMG! OMG! OMG! S/he has a child! OMG!"…
It's a drama because it's exaggerated. Pick any drama that takes a specific subject and you'll find the plot exaggerating it. For example medical dramas, everyone around the main leads will seem to get a sickness related to whatever department they work at.
It's because real life has so many variables but in dramas they only have a few so they have to blow them up to be bigger.
the fact this is above extraordinary you is beyond me
It's because of the FL overexaggerated facial expressions on Extraordinary You. I've no idea why I watched both of them so far I just want them to end..
Better description of this drama: Two oblivious people surrounded by clowns went in a freezer, the clowns did their thing, and they woke up 20 years later. To be surrounded by the exact same clowns except 20 year older. As a side effect, they can only kiss in a cold room.
4 episodes in, I think the main problem here is Go Mi Ran's facial expressions; it feels like she's trying too hard. She's cute & I liked her acting in Just Between Lovers, it might be either that she can't handle comedy, or the director is telling her to act in a certain way she's not comfortable with, but I can't for the life of me feel anything for the character, all her scenes keep reminding me this is a drama. All her scenes feel like a high school skit. Like I said, she's a great actress, but this just isn't it.
Realistically would the partners keep their emotions for 20 years? And even if they stayed single all this time, how could they consider dating them again when they're 20 years older? Kinda weird tbh, I hope they move on from that, fast.
So I watched the 2 episodes despite all the negativity and I do think they were so lacking, I don't feel like they hooked me at all. But they're not as bad as the comments made them seem. They were just.. lacking, not good, not bad, 90% of the 2 episodes was written in the synopsis so it felt like taking the same class or watching the same movie twice in a row, boring.
For now I definitely can't recommend this one. Not worth the time, if you have little of it. Melting Me Softly…
To be fair although Do Bong Soon was a VERY good drama, the plot wasn't it's strong point, and then again she also wrote Miracle That We Met which was horrible imo. I might end up watching Melting Me Softly anyway because I'm hella bored with so many good dramas ending, or the actors, but it definitely won't be because of the writer.
I watched this on-going since episode one and I regret complaining about predictable dramas, this was so frustrating when I cared about the outcome but I stopped caring about halfway through and lost all interest, I completed watching it for closure. Basically imagine being a blind person that follows sounds, and the writer keeps tossing pebbles around you, they toss one, you take one step there, and they toss one on the other direction, and it's not only 2 directions, but like 3 or 4. Instead of just making it mysterious, they forcefully led you to the wrong direction over and over until the last 2 episodes where the ending is finally starting to clear. It was so frustrating that people that KNEW what happened wouldn't just fess-up when they aren't awfully evil, they just DON'T want to talk, or empathize with the main leads.

Oooh now that I think about it you're right, the first introduction had everyone in their happily ever after, but then one guy broke up, one ran away from child responsibility, and one died to some sickness, leaving the 3 female leads in a very sad yet realistic setting. What I love the most is how they're approaching it comically instead of going hard on the tearjerkers, altho there are some sad scenes they're very few.
I can't believe the rating in korea is low and knetz don't like this because "they are in their 20s and can't…
I think the actors and actresses are too "human" for the majority of Koreans taste. Unfortunately they've been brainwashed to watch perfect model/idol actors n actresses. Not to say the cast is ugly obviously, they just had less to no work done, so they look human.
EDIT: I say this because, the single mother might be the only one they couldn't relate to, but break ups, death, work, etc. should be viable to relate even on early 20s.
Also that's a huge time leap at the end, and apparently only Pilgu grew up in that time.

We're very rare in any country anyway. Lol.
