to answer your question about people liking review, it is clearly meant to be existential humor. You can Google the Jean-Paul Sarte Cookbook for a great example of it. I was laughing my butt off as I read it ( both the review and Sartre spoof) And my sister sent me the review because she couldn’t stop laughing. I can see why you would be angry if you took it seriously. It was obviously an exercising creator writing
