Yes, I think they added that scene post credits to leave the room open in case netflix wants to make another season. Bc the funeral scene felt out of place. On the webtoon it was before Su Ho meetup and only Baku attended.

They couldve made it much better if didnt ignore Class 1 ending. Si Eun beats Colton right away like he did on Chapter 1. The Union had their eyes on Si Eun bc he defeated the UFC guy. Bring this plot early, and you have time to build up Donald Na and make The Union more interesting. Can also be used as an excuse for Si Eun and Baku to bond. Dont make Si Eun another person for 4 episodes, they just wasted time. How could Colton plot last more than one episode, should be first half of ep 1 at most. Ben introduction was so cringey. After beating him in class Si Eun beats him again with his lackeys outside, same as on webtoon, Ben Park follows and he gets interested on Si Eun after seeing it, half of episode 1. Nonsense to have Sieun unable to beat Colton and his next fight be Wolf.

It would make sense to think the mafia he was working for got rid of him after hearing of his defeat, since they were already unhappy with him. On the webtoon it was different.
My opinion is very different regarding the writing of this new season. Specially how the wrote the characters and the time they wasted with Si Eun not wanting to fight at the beginning. Think they could've done way better if they picked right after Class 1, respecting the credits scene so they dedicate more time to build up the villain and other characters.
But couldn't agree more on your comment about Jihoon acting. If you didnt watch it I recommend At a distance spring is green. His acting alone makes it worth it.

I think some people have "new thing bias". Comparing the masterpiece that Class 1 is to this or Study Group like I've also seen some people do is an insult to it.
On the webtoon he won the fight, but after it got distracted when saw Si Eun from the road, was asking him for another fight and a truck run over him. It was a good way to end his story, he had a great backstory, showed that no one could defeat him, but his evil actions needed to stop. On the drama he was probably killed by the mafia from the credits scene.

On the webtoon Si Eun fights him after Baku. He had prepared a lot of tricks for the fight, manages to bring him down, but Na gets up and defeats Si Eun. How they handled it felt so cheap :/
