The foundation of the story itself is romance from the very beginning when female Bulgasal rescued young Hwal looking at him like they knew each other in the past. But he just started having this problem in this incarnation. Remember when the twin sister died, she mentioned that he won’t be able to kill her sister. And truly when he tried, he felt intense pain. That’s the only reason SW is still alive in this incarnation and why Eul Tae is seeking Hwal’s help

You know she couldn’t see Hwal’s past cos he’s a Bulgasal. Same might apply for Eul Tae. And maybe that’s why she felt comfortable enough to have an intimate rel with him.

I disagree. The emotional tension/chemistry between the two leads is so sharp you can cut it with a knife. I noticed this since the 3rd episode I think, they just have that natural tensed chemistry. And it matches the theme of the story….fate playing wicked games with people….two mortal enemies can’t help but fall in love with each other.
