Such a nice film. Each vignette really felt like a moment of the present without being melodramatic or pretentious, the acting and chemistry were spot-on and the scenery and music were beautiful. I really need to watch more Kore-eda films.

If he was actually cursing the Japan Academy Prize Association I doubt that they would've included it in the film. It was done in a joking manner too, especially given that Gintoki broke the fourth wall to talk about Masaki Suda's success at the same ceremony.

Excellent acting in the Yutori series, he had great chemistry with the other leads. That one article which called him stiff and emotionless really needs to be corrected.

This was quite the heartbreaking film, but I don't understand why some parts were surprisingly creepy.

Hi, just saying that yes I did watch the film in cinemas, and wrote my review shortly after watching it. Sure, maybe it was a bit too generous but I genuinely liked the movie and felt that it resonated with me deeply.
