A lot of wisdom, interesting characters

I joined kisskh so that I could write this review. I have been watching KDramas on Netflix for a few years now and love so many of them. I thought I was going to love this one, too, but I felt really exasperated with how this one ended and I'm not sure I would ever want to watch it again (I've watched Chocolate twice, and there are many others I would definitely watch again). I liked the whole idea of the Liberation Club, and loved it when it gained a new member, and I feel like a lot more could have been written for the club characters interacting with each other, and about the two who were not main characters - I would have liked to know more about them. Although I liked Mi-Jung in the beginning, I liked her less and less as the show went on. The glum look on her face most of the time was maybe interesting at first, but it became really annoying after a while, and I also I think she was really stupid to think that Mr. Gu was an okay person who might ever be rehabilitated. I liked him, too, at first, but really disliked him by the end. What surprised me the most is that the two characters I disliked the most initially, Chang-He and Ki-Jung, became my favorite ones, especially Chang-He. I loved the weird accident at the end where he ends up in the wrong/right place. I love how sincerely sweet Ki-Jung turned out to be. There is a lot of wisdom in this drama - a lot to learn about relationships and feelings and interactions between people - and some funny moments along the way, where I laughed out loud. I don't know, maybe I could watch it again some day in the far future. It is worth watching at least once.

Should be renamed The Good Detectives!

This second season is as good as the first. I loved the interaction between Do Chang and Ji Hyuk, and the general comaraderie of the West Incheon investigative team and their bosses. I love Do Chang's essential kindness and integrity that served as inspiration for some of the other characters, notably one guy who appeared at first to want to take an easy way out and ended up being a hero. I love Ji Hyuk's keen intellect and instincts. There are some laugh-out-loud funny bits, as well as some seriously corrupt cops and formidable villains. This show is very satisfying because in spite of all the bad guys, the good guys win in the end, and they win in a believable way. It is a very worthy follow-on from Season 1 and I hope there will be a Season 3!

A new take on time travel!

I guess this series was divided into two entries. I watched all 22 episodes. I loved this series and would enjoy watching it again. It was interesting from a cultural point of view, and had many bits of wisdom throughout. I also appreciated the take on time travel and the speculation about its possible effects (or not) on the future, especially the explanation of how timelines could work by Dr. M's colleague towards the end. The penultimate bit at the clinic could not have been more perfect, and the whole story could have ended there, but the actual ending was also okay and left room for more episodes, although I can't imagine what more could be added to this wonderful story. So glad that I watched this!

Could have been condensed into 10 episodes

The actors were great, especially the ML and FL and Thanin, but I agree with other commentators that the writing was poor, and the pacing was truly slow and terrible. I increased the speed of the playback to 2.5 and it was still too slow. It was also repetitive in places - scenes were repeated, especially at the beginnings of episodes, but sometimes within an episode. The bad guy was so bad, and he was believable except for how he came to an end, because criminal psychopaths never have any remorse or nightmares or psychotic breaks because of their horrific behavior. Also, too much time was spent on him and on how horrible he was, and I found some of his scenes repetitious and unnecessary. I kept hoping the series would get better, so I kept watching and I wanted to see how it would end, but towards the end I was fast-forwarding through some of the scenes. It could have been a much better story. I never saw the original version, so I don't know how this remake compares to it, but I would never watch this version again, or recommend it.
