Thanks for this article. I understand the reason for them to dub, but I think they need to improve a lot. I'm from Brazil and I think the voice acting here is amazing. Most of the time the Brazilian voice actors manage to synchronize the lines very well even though the series are from several different countries. The dubbing is good being the series coming from any country. Here in my country, I see the fact that people prefer dubbed films for the sake of education. Not everyone can read fast enough to keep up with the subtitles. I've always been in favor of people watching the original version so they can see the real actor's version. But recently I've been watching Korean dramas dubbed on Netflix for example and I see how amazing the Brazilian dub is. So since I think Chinese dubbing is bad and I won't be able to hear the actor's original anyway I just hope the Brazilian voice actors start dubbing Chinese dramas for us. Note: I'm not fluent in English so sorry If I used some words the wrong way. :)
I'm certainly not a big fan of dubbing, but I could tolerate it if it wasn't so awfully bad in so many C-Dramas.…
I agree with you! I just disagree with the part you compare with English. In this case as Sam said here I really understand why they use dubbing. I just wish the dubbing was of better quality.
