This is some spoiler I read from X: the doll is actually LWY, the first time she went back in time, it was when JL was suicidal after being imprisoned by YWH, but when she went back she was in the form of the doll so she can't speak. But seeing JL is suicidal, she severe her own tail to manifest all her demonic power all for the sake of saying "A'Wu" to comfort JL, which ultimately stops him from taking his own life before they had ever truly met in that timeline. and that is how she becomes blind
