So I just got back from shopping and spent some time scrolling through the comments, and I keep seeing people saying that LWY barely has any screen time compared to the other three—that she feels underdeveloped, almost like a side character.
But honestly, there’s really no need to worry. We still have 11 episodes left, and a huge portion of the scenes from JJY and TJR’s trailer haven’t even aired yet—probably more than 80%. Right now, the story is clearly focusing on unfolding WSG’s character, his relationship with WWY, WWY’s personal growth, and JL’s inner struggles.
With 11 episodes to go, it actually feels like the narrative is about to shift toward LWY and JL. LWY, especially, hasn’t been fully revealed yet—there’s still so much to unpack about her. People say WSG, JL, and WWY are mysterious, but have we been watching the same drama? LWY is easily the most enigmatic of them all. There have been so many hints and subtle lines suggesting she’s far more than just the youngest nine-tailed fox—she might even play a crucial role in defeating JY, despite that fate supposedly belonging to WSG.
So really, there’s plenty of time left to address the “lack” of screen time people are worried about. And saying LWY has no character doesn’t sit right either. All four leads have equal billing, which means equal importance. The other three are already being explored in depth—but LWY’s story is still being kept under wraps. It’s too early to jump to conclusions.
To be honest, it was JJY who got me into C-dramas back in 2020 through Blooms in Ruyi Pavilion. But I’m not worried about her screen time at all—I’m sure her moment will come. For now, let’s just enjoy the ride together. It’s been a while since a xianxia/wuxia drama had me this hooked day and night. Peace hehe ✨
P/S: Despite the said "screen time", the drama imo is progressing very well. Ep 18 shows that the plot is finally plotting ✌🏻
you reheating leftover again? 😭😭😭😭😭I want fresh new food! 😭😭😭
have you seen LWY's costume on ep 19? 👀 it's what she wore for the scene we talked about yesterday, the old vs young couple scene🤣 can't wait to have my JiLu crumbles tomorrow 🥹
I think he's trying to find a way to remove the fragment from WSG without killing him, as killing JY's fragment…
just like triangles anti said, I trust his mind but not his words 🤣 he's been talking in riddles like Bai Ze since forever🙂↕️his mouth said this, but heart wants this 😌
I think he's trying to find a way to remove the fragment from WSG without killing him, as killing JY's fragment = killing the host. this is because if they killed WSG, which dragon would be sealing JY?
Watching the preview of ep 19, and I felt very bad for JL 😭 he finally confesses that he is JL and you can see the burden that he carried all this while 🥹 TJR you pretty crier 😭
Are we expecting a HE or BE? Im still deciding if i should start watching
I'm expecting an OE tbh, but at this rate we might lean at SE, nevertheless no one knows, and this drama would still be my drama of the year despite the ending 🥹 you should start and see for yourself why this drama is good hehe
I hope douban gives it a good rating their ratings always suck
douban are always rated low, most of cdramas are rated low as anyone can rate it, so haters team up to bring those dramas down. so dont worry abt Douban, those rankings speaks louder 😆
