if i was bothered by the cuts made to Palace Of Devotion and how the drama was riddled on Weibo and Douban, SJFY just topped it and by far incensable inconsequential character arcs while other more important ones were left behind, the ending feels so anticlimactic and hasty that by far it is #1 on my list of the worst of 2022. sad to see a story set in the Novoland universe with this quality and censorship, I don't understand why they cut it so much 😪 PS: does anyone have the link to the raw novel? can only read the first 8 chapters (feels like a long prologue) and want to continue.
who or why edited this drama like that? lose all logic or continue in addition to showing the very forced plot. It's a shame because I like FSF and PXR, I'm sure that with a better production it would have been a hit.
I'm impressed, xianxia drama has become so, so generic that you don't need to think much to know what will happen. It seems that only the chemistry between the MCs makes them important because as storylines...
quite disappointed in this drama, the plot was slow but entertaining, however confirm progress it loses meaning. I'm definitely learning not to expect anything from certain stories, that way I'm surprised by the good and not the bad.
too many things happen in 5 EP!!!! I don't feel any chemistry or attraction between ML and FL. love came because the writer wanted it that way, there was so much loss in such a short time but I didn't feel much pain because I couldn't connect with the characters, YuKeeChen still doesn't convince me as ML doesn't have that "strength". I really hope the story gets better
It is a shame that because of the censorship the story has to be changed, but should they do a generic drama? she's so ... she's in all of her other dramas. He hoped I was wrong and that it is better than what was seen in the trailer
this drama is for a very particular group of people, if you like extreme cliché plus a stable ML this is your drama. if you are looking for something else in history, you are in the wrong place
the first dark horse of the year, it has a great story, well development, characters that stay smart throughout the drama and a subtle but cute romance
PS: the food is the best thing about this story.
