I do wonder if that cafe owners in the beach were also once-a-host and his lover. In both scenes where they were they gave away similar feeling like they were also a couple who struggled with being accepted.
I feel like the writers were having hard time with the ending, so the ending ended up being all floppy. But I did enjoy the slow-paced stalker series.. just the ending was.. disappointing.
I think I would had enjoyed these types of endings: ver 1 - we would never know what happened with the ml; the conclusion of the cursed one needing to love as well would come out with a bit more screentime on second couple falling in love. ver 2 - at least two more episodes where tje main couple would actually discover each other and take the risks to see how much is possible and then gradually fall in love and break the curse.
What I didn't like? I couldn't feel the connection between the leads, there was no spark between them until the end. The second couple - yup, sparks. The lawyer theme - could see potential sparks. The leads none for me.
You think lawyer going after opposing clients is likely to happen in real world? Dude would be disbarred and jobless,…
Going after her after the lawsuit was dropped. So nothing ethically wrong. And it does feel more realistic than warming up teenage love with bad history.
I don't know how I feel about FL dating the lawyer. I kind of want him to be the end-game so the ending would be refresh and more likely to happen in real world.
The first part for me was great. The couples chemistry is a top-notch one and their story realistic. And how they over the time understand why breaking up was at the time good for both of them. But the ending was so draging, I think for me the story could have ended at 20ish episode and then I would have given it a higher rating. I was watching until the end cause I was expecting some nice twist or something, but unfortunatly the end was way slow and draggy.
Squid game meets divergent like teenage romcom and this mash up is worth the watch. I got to laugh out loud, there was some good tension between the leads and some sad moments. If they make 2nd season, then I hope they take their time as otherwise it would be a big dissapointment after thia great 6 episodes.
The writing is very uneven in this series. It moves from really good to really bad.I am going to finish it because…
Yes! The last two episodes, specially e10, felt like they were written by someone other. It lacked the understanding how depression works like previous episodes and it had the same narrative repeating in the same episode. Not a reason to drop the series but I do hope that it was a minor hiccup and the writing doesn't go downhill.
I feel like this series shows really well the highs and lows of depression. That one day it might feel like everything is starting to fit back together and next day everything is lost again.
As a northern European I understand now how people feel when American movies are set somewhere but the "locals" make no sense. The drama is good, so it easy to overlook the geographical mislocations and the lack of Finnish accents.
My only real complaint about this series is the overuse of nudity. Like netflix was worried that if there weren't some naked women, then people wouldn't watch it 🤦♀️.
Also the ending was a surprise 🫢.

And really liked that tge fml had a family and was fighting for what she belived of and not some crazy family revenge stuff.
I love it! 💕
