Loved this so much. Manly man who shows his interest from the start and stays true through out with no silly misunderstanding or triangles. Just beautiful!

I didn't notice anything that may be attributed to the age gap in that sense. There was no awkwardness or weirdness, t'was quite natural and believable just the minimal skinship one can expect from a period piece

the resolution of the two parts I think was not the ideal - both parts brought something to the table and both of them had the same intentions, I think it would have been more helpful for both parts to merge than for one to be killed off. Instead of making one good and other bad, it would have been more effective to make both parts to understand the usefulness of the other and then agree to live as one.

What!! You mean you haven't seen "Love like the Galaxy" and "Nothing but you"?? You have to check them out, it really shows the ML's dexterity 'cos he's so different in those roles. I actually had to go check that he's the same guy from Nothing but you when watching this and I remember having the same feeling when I watched that, having to go and make sure he was the same person from Love like the galaxy. He's very "believable" in all his roles.
This was really interesting until the last few episodes. I must admit, I kept nodding off and felt no compulsion to rewind to visit the areas I missed. Not hating on it as I scored this an 7.5/10. PROS: There are lots of funny bits in the drama, the king is a likeable fella for a change, and the author and her beau are my favourite couple, the matchmaking bits are novel and loved the documentary-like start to each of the episodes - that was fun!
