So, he'll be able to train as an immortal since YXW will destroy the evil bone of TTJ and replace it with her immortal bone then she vanishes. After that, he will spend 500 years looking for her primordial spirit then gets into an immortal sect in order to train and will use an alias. Hope my explanation helps

No, the ongoing arc right now is not a past life. It is merely a dream. If you watched previous episodes, there's a scene where the god of cosmos tells YXW the three things she will need in order to completely destroy the evil bone of TTJ. And one of the three things is a "dream". It clearly explains that they will have to enter a dream. But after this dream, they will all remember their interactions and it will affect their present life.

I wonder about that too, maybe they'll explain it in future episodes

Maybe they just promoted it as 3 lives since it really is 3 different storylines. I haven't read the novel but I'm planning to. From what I understand, it is clearly a dream and not a past life or something. Also, there's a scene where Ye Xiwu will go into an abyss and the God of Cosmos tells her that they will enter a "dream". A dream together with Tan Taijin because that dream is one of the things that will help YXW destroy TTJ's evil bone. That dream is supposed to influence them so after they get out of it, TTJ and YXW will realize a lot of things mainly TTJ. After that dream, TTJ will realize his love for YXW. That's the purpose of the dream. Not a past life. Someone correct me if I'm wrong tho. Happy watching

He knows cuz he got that ability from his mother's tribe. All members of that tribe have the ability to speak to crows and even other animals.
