I think she only made it seem like the reason Jiang convicted the Wei family is because of his grudge of them not letting him borrow the book. I also thought RSB will state another stronger motives of Jiang. Or maybe because that book really is a big deal at that time. The end credits said it's more like an encyclopedia.
