I can't wait to watch Memory! Heard a lot of good things about it, plus Junho... <3 I loved him in Twenty, and I'm not biased as I haven't been a big fan before (not that I haven't liked him, I've just barely paid attention). His acting is kind of natural, so I am really looking forward to seeing him in different roles.
And I also liked Choi Woo Shik in Rooftop Prince. All of the 4 Joseon guys were lovely :)
Oh, and can I just comment on how Junho has the come-to-bed eyes on that picture?
I have planned to watch this because of Yoon Shi Yoon, and I am currently watching it because of him...only because of him so far...the rest is not bad, but not that great either...let's see .)
I'm not a fan of SNSD, or any Kpop idols for that matter. So I'm curious, why don't you like Yoona? Is it because…
Well I don't really like Yoona either and I agree with the arrogance being hidden behind an innocent mask, I have the same feeling. So I get annoyed everytime they are praising her like the most beautiful and greatest woman....ugh. I cannot comment on Soo Young's acting though, some of her dramas are still on my PTW list.
Haha, and the way Baek Jin Hee speaks irritates me :D So I liked Triangle, but not her in it.
Kikwang is another story though <3 He is really....his pictures are on my profile haha. Can't wait to watch his dramas :)
I totally agree with you about Park Shin Hye! Her roles are always the same...and for me always annoyning. She got on my nerves in You Are Beautiful and The Heirs. Did not like her much in Flower Boy Next Door either. Her acting is just unnatural to me.
Cannot really comment on others in your article since I have not watched anything with them yet, but The Girl Who Sees Scents is on my PTW list. Actually Im looking foward to it, but because of Yoochun :D
This is like Heirs for me....not much going on, but there is a bunch of good-looking guys. It is watchable though. However, my favorite character is Dal Bong, he is the best :)
I hated the ending, but somehow it was expected...dramas like this tend to not have a happy ending. Also for the most part I didn't like Moon Jae In, she acted as if we should feel sorry for her, but I couldn't, she just wanted to marry off well and use the rich. Many times she was rude, and it was funny how she got pissed off when those men told her the ugly truth in her face :D
Besides this, I really liked this drama. Kim Nam Gil was the best! And I wanted him to end up with Hong Tae Ra here. She should have been the female lead, I really like that actress, liked her in Triangle as well.
I have only finished the 2nd episode, but I have to say that I absolutely hated how Seo Hwa treated Wol Ryung! It was so sad how she could forget everything he did for her and saw him as a monster and betrayed him. I felt so sad for him :( At that moment I started to hate her character.
I can't comment on the dramas in your article, as I have not yet seen any of them, however there were some popular dramas that made me ask myself why did I even started to watch them, let alone finish them.
You Are Beautiful was like a punishment for me, I really dislike Park Shin Hye as an actress, so I suffered a lot through this.
Nobuta wo Produce seems to be widely loved, but after I finished it I couldn't see why. Nobuta's character was kind of "extreme" for me...
Ikebukuro West Gate Park was a big mess for me...only thing I remember is Nagase saying "mendoukuse" all the time :D
Proposal Daisakusen was just utterly boring, the main lead was so slow it made me cringe.
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - I didn't like this a lot either
Nodame Cantabile - annoying Nodame just getting hit by the main lead many times, boring, not my cup of tea
And don't let me even start about Gokusen....that series is sooo overrated for me....you have four or I don't know how many "main" students, at first each episode is dealing with an issue of one of them, then it gets strangely repetitive and boring (supposed to be funny I think), and all of this is repeated 2 times in the series 2 and 3? No way I'm watching the sequels.
Goong is overrated as well. While it wasn't that bad, it was really dragging. 16 episodes would be just fine.
Oh, and Rich Man, Poor Woman was just average for me. Ishihara Satomi with her squeaky way of speaking and her big unnaturally looking lips got on my nerves a lot.
It seems like I dislike quite a few of popular dramas :D However, there are a lot of them that I totally loved, like Secret, Hana Kimi, Zettai Kareshi, Rooftop Prince....so I'm not a hater of popular dramas, this is just my taste, I just can't like everything :)
Miura was great, and I also really liked Yoshizawa Yu as Kirishima.
The only thing I do not like about this type of dramas is that while the police does not hesitate to kill random terrorists etc, they never kill the biggest culprits when they have like hundred chances. And it's not like they catch them for info, they just let them get away everytime....I guess it's because the story would end too quickly :D But it's illogical anyway...
It was cute and funny as well, I just don't know why they picked a 13-year-old girl and a 21-year-old guy to play a couple. I just hoped they wouldn't kiss at the end because that would be cringe-worthy.
Anyway, the cast played their roles well, but I probably liked the most the guy who played Tae Joon. I laughed often when he was on...the homme fatale :D
Great article, I have watched every drama you had mentioned expect for Ryusei no Kizuna, which is on my PTW list. I've also seen Inu wo Kau to Iu Koto, which was cute and sad at the same time.
I really liked him in Orthros no Inu, after I finished the series it left me with a lof of thoughts.
And I'm not sure if it''s just me, but Ryo's eyes seem to look so sad often. Maybe it's just the way he looks normally, I don't know :)
Because there were many comments here that criticized the drama, I have thought that maybe I would not like it as much. However, it turned out to be really easy to watch, and I actually really liked it. I have found the romance cute and the bromance was great to watch as well. For me, the actors portrayed the feelings realistically. The drama was funny as well (mostly in the first half), so overall I gave it a high rating.
And I also liked Choi Woo Shik in Rooftop Prince. All of the 4 Joseon guys were lovely :)
