Do yall remember a while back when I mentioned it was weird that Reba never formally got a Vogue cover despite…
Anywho, it was recently revealed that Zhang had beef with Huasheng Media's CEO over model, Du Juan who appeared on the cover of the May issue. However, she appeared on the cover of two competing magazines a month after and for a spring issue, with both publications being under his licensing. This in turn meant that she was ineligible to appear on the May issue. The issue was pulled at the last minute, which resulted in chaos. Replacements were made but the damage was done as Huasheng's CEO was enraged because when your industry is going through a harsh government crackdown on stars, ensuring that stars/models and fans are satisfied is important as well as helping to grow the industry and make profit.
I do appreciate Zhang's curatorial eye and creativity because a lot of her covers were elegant and explorative but I wish she had navigated that space better and maybe we could've seen more of her creativity, her team, and Reba on the cover. Because these two collaborating could've been bold and beautiful!!
Do yall remember a while back when I mentioned it was weird that Reba never formally got a Vogue cover despite having the stock to be on the cover? Well, with the recent news of EIC Margaret Zhang choosing not to renew her contract, it seems a lot of things have been uncovered as to some of the practices. Zhang had a "no compete" rule which was that you can't be on the cover of another fashion magazine 3 months before and one month after appearing on the cover. And if I remember correctly, from 2021 and up until now, Reba was on back-to-back covers or had a cover nearly every month which wouldn't have fit the timeframe if she had been offered or considered. There was also talk that covers are generally offered to "movie" stars, which in this economy, when you HAVE to make money, it would make sense to put someone who had great commercial value especially if that person is also celebrated for their fashion? Like why not have both right?
We are gonna eat so good if any of these melons are true, hope all of them are:1. Dior Jewelry 2. Mecedes3.Jimmy…
I think she already has No.1 or at least did some promo for it but might be a formal announcement. Mercedes would be an interesting choice. No.3 has been around for ages so hopefully this one finally comes true and No.4 might is most likely as Belleame says.
I'm pissed because i just realised that half of the current bio is taken from my bio but they have cut it so rough…
They didn't even acknowledge my submission nor advised that they would be mix and matching shit up. I am appalled by the level of disregard these moderators have for us on here when we are simply requesting something many others have done countless times. It reeks of some dumb sit.
Sure thing, here you go :)
Dilraba Dilmurat, born in Xinjiang, China, is an award-winning actor, dancer and singer of Uyghur descent. In 2013, Dilraba burst onto the scene with her debut role in the television series “Anarhan,” which garnered a nomination for Outstanding TV Series at the 30th Flying Asparas Awards. However, her breakthrough came with the role of Gao Wen in the 2015 romantic drama "Diamond Lover," which thrust her further into the limelight. In September 2023, Dilraba was added into the Business of Fashion's Class of 2023 BOF 500 list which celebrates people shaping and influencing the global fashion industry. A significant honour as she was the only Chinese actress inducted for the year, and only the fourth actress overall to be on the list.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dilraba is known for her philanthropic endeavours and dedication to social causes. It's frustrating like why is this happening to Reba only. I definitely think there is something happening but I don't know what benefit it would have for them to omit such a comprehensive list.
I love her comment about her mom wanting to raise her again (she must be a sweet child!) but she’s like “better…
I love reading translations of her interviews. She has such a profound way of looking at her thoughts. Honestly, I feel like I fall in love with her mind more and more each day. I love that she has been raised in such a loving and thoughtful home and it shows in everything she does. Beauty fades but character is boundless! I believe people hate seeing people who don't have their shortcomings, excel and be rewarded for their true self.
She looks absolutely amazing and out of this world, the haters must be sick with envy. What is Met Gala and has…
Exactly. Her beauty stands out on its own which is what truly made that dress. I saw someone else wear the same but at a domestic event but it didn't carry the same weight because making a statement is also about having the aura and confidence to go with it. So hopefully, she takes calculative risks when choosing an outfit.
Is it me or has Reba’s MDL bio shrunk even more? There is nothing on her breakout role(s) or her acting achievements…

Who doesnt receive criticism for their fashion sense? Its nothing new. Netizens will criticise whether you wear the best dress or the most ugly. This industry isnt for the fragile. But this stretches out into all areas of life, where a differnce is made, there will criticism. If you cant tolerate criticism, chances are youve never made a difference. Read her interviews, you will find she is alot stronger than we give her credit for.
