That’s a valid point — the power pulling them together is definitely what’s limiting her agency and preventing her from making better choices. But what I really mean is, she’s coming up with these over-the-top schemes while completely forgetting that he has the main character halo. She's stressing me out with these decisions and bad schemes.

I find the main wife an interesting character. Women as pawns are always interesting to watch. If there was no FL, she would be a good pairing for the ML as she is definitely clever and strategic. But the FL has the added bonus of having no historical ties to the ML.
