It’s sad too many c-dramas get ruined especially endings due to the censorship. I’m always prepared when watching an ending to a c-drama that it will be rushed and unsatisfying ending. Overall great drama tho especially having the alternative endings.
I was totally enjoying this drama but the last 10 episodes the storyline was all over the place. Great actors and the scenery beautiful. I’ve watched a lot of dramas. Thankfully I read the novel or the ending would be too confusing.

Her mother does love her. However, it’s more of the hard love. Her mother tries to make up lost time by trying to teach her. However she has a military mindset. So her mother caring in that way while Shoasang just thinks her mom hates her especially when seeing the relationship of her mom and her cousin. If that makes sense :)
I actually now rewatched this drama from begining while waiting for Monday and actually still enjoying it
No idea. I think this series is really good. From the music to the fight scenes. Everything done quite well. Just needed more episodes to help those watching that haven’t read the novel understand more. I feel like the ending going to be a bit disappointing since the trend recently endings feeling rushed and leaving out too much.
I see everyone complaining now about this drama. It really isn’t hard to follow. It definitely does feel like they rushed it. I know the new restrictions reduce the amount of episodes per show/season to 40. I am enjoying this, I just feel like they could made it 2 parts or least make 40 epi. The novel was a goodie.

Ya I enjoy knowing there is endings once finishing up all episodes. However Chinese dramas that are too long of a story like SSS they need to start filming entire series at once. They have a habit of having to wait on actor schedules and then end up seeing cast changes due to it. I agree Historical are my fav to watch. Not huge fan of modern tv shows.
I’m really enjoying this series. I’m always interested to see how they adapt novels/web series etc into tv shows. So far this has been enjoyable to watch. I’ve watched many tv series from western to eastern shows. This one been one of my favorites so far especially after reading the novel a while back.
One thing I do not enjoy is how they do their seasons in China tv shows. They tend to take years to come out and when they do the budget is lower and usually see different cast. For instance Ever Night comes to mind. With the pace of the show it will take at least 2 more seasons to complete the story. I wish they would film all the seasons at once then edit the first season once that comes out start working on the next. I feel like I’m going to be disappointed again with cast changes etc seems to always be the case. Still surprised they still have this issue. Anyways anyone not enjoying this than I don’t know what to tell you. I’m not a fan of modern dramas these days. This series has the right type of seriousness with a hint of comedy.
