I'm curious what the English title will be. 'Shadow Punisher' is definitely NOT it. I've noticed they're using 'The Phantom Detective' more and more often, which is closer to the original title.
If you're looking for a movie for those who look for more than just several dozens of minutes deteriorated into nothing but mechanical, soulless sex – yeah, you can be satisfied a bit.
But it's not the thing.
The drama is about a real relationship between men. With love, jealousy, missing, sadness, betrayal and desire. Also about a tacit consent to harassment and a brave step toward a mentally free life. The movie (I watched it as one piece) lacks long dialogues. Based on the emotions you see, you slowly understand the relations between four guys. If you want to, of course.
For me personally, this drama was a huge step in understanding male homosexuality, so condemned by many societies. Love doesn't leave anyone and bonds everyone – boys, girls, and heterosexual couples.
