Tears for a Snow-White Fox: On Luo Yunxi's Heartbreaking Mastery

I've just finished watching, and at the end, a little, snow-white, bright fox made me cry.

I have to start with the main actor in this drama. Luo Yunxi proves again that he's a very good, talented actor. Although he's gentle by nature, he can act harsh, sarcastic, and vicious. He's definitely worth awards. Thinking of Yunxi's perfection, I have to remind myself of a few scenes.

Finally, someone made use of his ballet abilities; it was probably appreciated by the director. The scene where he dances... I've watched it many times. As always, he's gentle and perfect in every move.

The scene where he finally says goodbye to his mentor broke my heart into a million pieces. He was crying loudly and sobbing. I felt the despair within my own soul. That must have been emotionally exhausting for Leo to play, but it's a masterpiece. No doubt. I have seen a lot of movies and dramas, but I have never seen a sob like this before. And every time he loses his close friends, I feel that sadness through his tears.

Bu the drama is not only about Luo Yunxi ;) There are a lot of actors very well-suited to their roles.

The whole plot is generally about being a good human. No one is born evil. It's about giving a second chance and trying to push someone back onto the right path. The story is about obsession and fate, forgiveness, loss, sadness, friendship and hope. To work for the betterment of humankind, sometimes we have to sacrifice ourselves.

***
This is another drama I've watched recently where the beloved main lead dies. I'm really exhausted by this. Just like in "Till the End of the Moon," the main lead brings salvation to the world through his death. I'm waiting for a more positive drama with Leo. Now I have to watch a low-key romantic drama to calm down ;)

A Mixed Bag of Brilliance and Disappointment

I wanted to give 9 stars, but the ending of the last episode took this 9th star away... I've just finished watching and I really don't know what I feel now. It's just a mix of disappointment and sadness. Anyway, I've already watched so many brilliant dramas with a richly deserved 10, I cannot give it here even a 9. 对不起。

The story is about – well, what do you know? So surprising! – the triumph of good over evil. But for me, the deeper meaning is you cannot judge someone from your first impression, cause you can be mistaken about this person. Those who look vicious can turn out quite good and the other way around.

The whole drama is very uneven. There are some great episodes and some boring ones, where the action's moving so slow I was fast-forwarding... The first episodes were not something I'd expected. The plot twisted at the 32nd episode, making the drama go on in an interesting way. But the ending was not as joyful as probably most of the viewers expected.

I highly appreciate the fighting scenes. Cheng Yi is still irreplaceable in acting out martial arts in the best way. Even when he was injured while filming, he continued. I take my hat off to him.

On the character front, my feelings are mixed. Liu Sui Feng is a character I ultimately could not understand. He had potential, but finally turned out to be a monotonous figure with only one expression. Similarly, the main hero, Xiao Qui Shui, wasn't very interesting or surprisingly acted for me. This was in stark contrast to his second brother, who pretended to be calm, protective, and lovely, but turned out to be... well, you'll see for yourself ;)

Ultimately, my absolute favourite is Li Chenzhou. There's something very mystic in his composure, calm demeanor, and deep voice. (And that white hair... ;)) What I loved most was that his profound love for his wife never needed grand confessions—you could simply feel it in his every action and silent gaze. It leaves you wondering about the man behind the mystery: just how many years of life and loss are hidden behind that timeless, dignified presence?

Something got wrong in the end...

After 6 episodes, I wondered if the action would keep up this pace until the end. For now, the series is brilliant. However, the last episodes, especially the 35th and 36th, disappointed me.

Maybe because I am a woman, I was longing for a sweet, happy ending. You know—the main couple surrounded by kids, smiling and happy. Okay, that's too much, just kidding.

The ending was not as devastating as in Kill Me, Love Me or as the story between Xiao Yao and Xiang Liu in Lost You Forever, but it still falls short. After so many episodes of pain, tears, and misery, seeing the main couple truly happy would have been very satisfying. Instead, the ending is sour and leaves my heart uneasy, as if something is missing.

In my humble opinion, this great drama was ruined in the last 2 episodes. It was probably the most disappointing ending I've seen so far.

All in all, the drama is worth watching.
But only once.

;)

Sorry for the Prince Zhou...

Very good and interesting script. Fast action. Neverending story of love. So neverending, that was so sweet that I puked a rainbow and chase a unicornback.

TJC... yeah, he's definitely more handsome with some kg less :D cute dumpling in the drama
XD

I'm a bit unsatissfied about the side plot between Prince Zhou nad Ms Fu. Why was it so short and without deeper emotions? I'm a bit upset, cause Zhou was very well educated, dilligent and peaceful. He would have been a great emperor, but daddy completely underestimated him. IMHO this character was the most disadvantaged by fate. Anyway sorry, Prince Zhou. I was upset too... :C

Born to destruction or salvation?

TILL THE END OF THE MOON: A Tragedy of Fate and Choice

Watching this drama was a profoundly moving experience; I found myself suffering right alongside the main characters. While the plot is utterly captivating, it is also a relentless journey through pain and sadness. The story leads to a tragic conclusion: that sincere, wholehearted love would have been the salvation, far superior to the path of destruction advised by the agitators. Had pure love been given a chance, it wouldn't have ended in disaster. The drama poignantly suggests that we are all born as blank pages, our stories written by the hands of life and experience. No one is born evil—they are made that way. But this leaves us with a haunting question: in the end, will evil ultimately prevail?

BORN TO DESTRUCTION OR SALVATION?

Tantai Jin's birth was a tragedy itself; his mother died bringing him into the world, leaving him cursed. Though a prince, he was sentenced to death by his own father, exiled to a derelict palace, and later sold as a hostage. He never learned deeper emotions because no one ever showed him any. Abuse, beatings, and humiliation were his daily bread, yet a desperate longing for love and recognition still flickered within him. This created a constant, brutal war inside him: the desire for love versus the thirst for revenge. When love finally did arrive, one must ask—was it a blessing, or just another form of sorrow?

THE ENDING

To truly grasp the story's depth, you must watch every single episode with full attention. Skipping even a part will leave you unprepared for the final two episodes and the motivations behind Tantai Jin's actions. The ending is heart-wrenching, yet in its context, it is perfectly logical and inevitable. I was truly heartbroken and couldn't stop the flow of tears. (Whether I'm just too sensitive or the tragedy of this story is simply that powerful, I cannot say.)

LUO YUNXI'S PERFORMANCE

Before watching, I encountered criticisms of Luo Yunxi regarding his appearance (including his height) and voice. I must state that I completely disagree—he was absolutely perfect for this role. His gentle voice, delicate features, and those large, expressive eyes perfectly captured the character's complex nature. He was particularly outstanding in portraying Tantai Jin's dark side. I read that Luo Yunxi lost a significant amount of weight for the role, which served the story well, but at times he looked alarmingly thin, almost as if suffering from anorexia. It was a terrifying sight in some photos, and I'm genuinely glad he regained his health afterward.

MAIN CHARACTERS & CHEMISTRY

The chemistry between Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu is as electric as ever. Having adored them in "Love Is Sweet," it was a delight to see them share the screen again. Their deep, meaningful gazes and their tender yet intense kisses make their on-screen relationship utterly compelling and believable.

COSTUMES & MUSIC

I usually don't pay much attention to costumes in wuxia dramas, as they often feel similar. Here, it was different—the character outfits are truly amazing. The scenery of the Devil's Palace, in my opinion, seems inspired by the art of Zbigniew Beksiński (if you're unfamiliar with his work, I highly recommend looking it up), and it made a huge impression on me. The music is also a standout, with its use of rock guitars instead of traditional, sweet Chinese melodies, which perfectly complements the story's dark and epic tone.

DO I RECOMMEND THIS DRAMA?

Yes, wholeheartedly. But be prepared to engage with it deeply. A casual viewing misses the entire point. This is not a light or pleasant drama about the romance of the main characters; it is a heavy, thought-provoking tragedy that demands and deserves your full emotional and intellectual investment.

Positive and calm drama

All in all it was very positive and quite calm drama. It was watching with pleasure :) Main roles were lovely. It's about friendship, loyality, assiduty and girl power as well! Girls were the best in the world and had strong bonds. On the other hand we could also see relations in the crown family, where children almost didn't have a happy childhood. No ties, no parents, who often were absent in during child's childhood, raised with a nanny. Poor kids from villages got more love and happiness than these wealthy.

Another time I am complaining about ending :P wanna see, how they're raising their child and Yin Zheng's coronation! I'm almost sure, it's a girl ;) she will continue reforms of her mom! :D

Anyway - New Life Begins is a drama really worth seeing :)

When a Bodyguard Stole Her Heart

This is a story about how real love can redefine a life. A young woman, Jiang Ying Xian, is chasing fame and wealth while awaiting her marriage to a representative of another wealthy family. They have no feelings for each other, and their marriage is merely a contract that will benefit both families.

Meanwhile, she meets Fu Cheng, a former soldier who had temporarily left the army to pay for his sister's surgery. He becomes Ying Xian's bodyguard, and they fall deeply in love.

Both actors are excellent in their roles. Watching Fu Cheng (played by Hao Fu Shen), you can easily feel how much he loves Ying Xian (played by Hu Yi Yao). His eyes shine brightly whenever he looks at his beloved. You can even feel his utter devotion to her. Their story is full of passion; they share intense kisses every time they meet.

Hao Fu Shen is a young but very talented actor. Moreover, he's handsome and has well-defined lips ;) Hu Yi Yao is a beautiful actress. Together, they make a stunning couple.

This is a beautiful story, but I was hoping for a clearly positive ending. This one is vague and left me feeling uneasy.

I Will Be Your Eyes

I watched this movie twice, and each time it touched me deeply.

It's a story about young people who experience youthful love and emotions, which are eventually replaced by daily routine. Their life becomes mundane. They love each other deeply, but don't yet know how to reconcile everyday life with their career ambitions. Misunderstandings and stubbornness lead to a devastating break-up, but they still miss each other. The more time passes, the harder it becomes to renew their relationship... Meanwhile, his eyesight is deteriorating due to retinitis pigmentosa, an incurable condition that inevitably leads to blindness.

Finally, they reunite. This part of the dialogue: 'But my eyes are getting worse,' 'I will be your eyes,' makes me cry.

Tan Jianci, with every single role, proves he's a brilliant actor. In this movie, his on-screen relationship with Zhang Jingyi, who is nine years younger, makes them a great couple. This is the first movie where I've really watched her, and she is a truly beautiful woman and a good actress. I wish her all the best in her career :)

This movie is really worth watching.

Don't regret the things you've already chosen

Watching the drama took me 2 days. It was a very emotional time, I've been touched many times... It has a lot of plot twists, which you cannot second-guess,

After watching "What if", you realize you shouldn ever regret the things you've already chosen. Every life-path gives you new experiences. Only you can control your life and be responsible for your decisions. But the most important is to hart-to-heart talk, which is strongly missing nowadays.

Liu Xueyi perfect as always, but Zhong Chuxi is a good actress as well.

Will I watch it again? No ;) It was too hard for me.

JC-T saves this the drama

The few first episodes was soooo boooooring, I was moving it forward... :P but after... after the role of Tan Janci was as always, the best one. The man he playes, changed during the whole drama a lot. Oh, anyway, I love his hair! :D

But back in the drama. Main character is so irritated, I can't stand it. Always wooden, miserable, liveless. It's really hard to watch her... fine that she smiled sincerely in the last minutes of the last episode XD

What I can write in here? I've just watched it (it took 2 days - I couldn't stop watching this drama :D). It's just a pure love story. She's maturing with him, becoming from silly and naive girl to responsible woman, he learns what to love means and that emtions are are not related to mathematic countings. So lovely I wish it may happen in my life ;)))

A Masterpiece Worth Every Second!

Having watched over 1,432 episodes across 52 dramas (yes, I love MDL's stats 😄), I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything quite like Mobius.

The story is intellectually gripping, elevated by sharp, well-placed humor—those rare witty comments (just a few in the whole drama, but each one gold!) made the tension even more engaging. The pacing is tight, the casting is flawless—Bai Jingting was born for this role—and surprisingly, the soundtrack completely stole my heart. I was literally counting down the hours between episodes.

A true modern masterpiece. Highly, highly recommended… and yes, I’ll definitely be rewatching soon! ;)
Total rate: 11/10 :D

The perfect pcmfort watch: Chemistry, charm and good vibes

It's a heart-warming romantic comedy with a charming couple as the main characters. They are childhood sweethearts who were separated for a decade and met again in a foreign city, where they started working together. The story has jealousy, romance, understanding and misunderstanding, and many funny, lovely situations along the way.

Bai Lu and Lin Yunxi seemed to have lots of fun shooting this drama. You can feel their really strong chemistry, which makes watching very pleasurable. Besides, she's beautiful, he's handsome, so the impression is even better ;)

Watch it if you are in a bad mood or having a hard time; you will feel better. I do.

Watch it ONLY for Luo Yunxi; the rest of the drama is a waste of time.

After eight episodes, I was ready to drop this drama. But after a few days, I decided to give it another chance. I have to say, I was disappointed.

My main issue was Zhang Rounan's repetitive acting. Sometimes I didn't know if I was watching "Love is Panacea" or "The First Frost." Her performance was exactly the same: she constantly rolls her eyes, avoids eye contact, runs away from kisses and any closeness, and maintains a blank expression. It's frustrating, and I found it hard to watch.

Luo Yunxi is too good of an actor—and from what I've seen, seems like too nice of a guy—to have to act alongside her. It feels like a waste of his talent. Their dynamic is jarring: she is an ice queen, while he is a warm, kind man. It just doesn't work.

The lack of chemistry was the final straw. He is completely in love and would do anything for her, but she is often dishonest and seems perpetually unhappy. She didn’t return a single one of Mr. Gu's kisses! It was so frustrating.

On the other hand, Luo Yunxi's role as Dr. Gu Yunzheng, a neurosurgery professor, was, like everything he does, perfect. The supporting roles of Gu's father, grandfather, and Su Weian's mother were also acted very well.

All in all, watching this series was exhausting. I should have trusted the other reviews! The plot was nothing great, the female lead's acting was terrible, and I completely don't understand the ending... Did she die? It looked like she was walking towards heaven (with that very bright light), or was it just his imagination?
