Note: Potential spoiler alert, but if you watched the first 15 minutes of the show you would already know this information.
I canât understand why shows like âGuess Who I Amâ exist. The whole story-within-a-story concept completely ruins the show for me. In the first episode, they set up the main character as either writing a story or having a dream, etc., and then every other episode follows this pattern of a story within a story, completely detached from reality. Characters develop, but it all feels pointless because at the end of the drama, they go back to reality, making everything that happened before seem meaningless. Itâs so frustrating, and the show would have been great if it was just a story on its own and not a story with a story.
VPN works for the first few episodes on their website but then YOUKU makes you download the app. If you have android, you can just download the APK, but if you have an apple device (I do) you canât download the APK and VPN doesnât work for the Apple App Store. Then you have to worry about payment. If you have an android device and you use the APK download it makes you fulfill the subscription through the Google play store and they block the purchase because itâs ânot allowed in the USâ. Itâs literally impossible to do. Lmao
This was my second ever kdrama (after Strong woman Do Bong-Soon). As far as the tone it is the exact opposite but I loved it. What a great watch, it has all of the emotions wraped up together.
Iâm reading a lot of comments about the length of the episodes (of Korean BLs in general) and thatâs understandable, but its not actually a series. Itâs a movie. That's why after the series completion they release a "movie version" which was the original intention while filming.
If you cut one minute off of each episode to compensate for the recap and add all the episodes together, it comes out to 140 minutes, which is 10 minutes longer than the average movie.
Looks like in her new drama PMY was speaking some Chinese. So looks like she is also preparing for this role.…
Iâm watching her new drama as well. It seems decent so far.
As for the other part of your comment, China does not allow anyone to use there own voice in TV dramas unless they have a perfect standard Chinese accent. If it airs at all, she will be voiced over by a native Chinese person.
Also, this drama was filmed in 2015. This was right before the Chinese ban on South Korean entertainment so it ended up not airing at the time. The ban has been relaxed since then and itâs not unheard of for Chinese dramas to take a year or two post production before airing it could still happen but I wouldnât keep my hopes up. I donât believe it will ever be aired.
I noticed several people inquiring about the episode count changing. On Netflix it says that there are 15 episodes and that the last one will air on April 30th.

I don't really follow bromance/BL chinese news but I wonder if there really was a drama that never came out because…
I donât think itâs going to come out. There have been a lot more bans over the last year and on top of that, few months ago the Chinese government extended the ban to dramas based off of BLs novels (even if there isnât any BL content in the drama itself). I think they just had to eat it because filming was concluded almost 2 years ago now (1 year and 11 months).
