Seems to me, I get why people here complain about lack of chemistry between Lan Jue and Zhang Ping and become interested in Lan Jue's relationship with Mowen and/or Shulin instead. When Lan Jue and Shulin met and became soulmates, they were equals. At present Lan Jue and Mowen are equals, their relationship is long established, so they behave, speak and express their emotions at ease. However Lan Jue and Zhang Ping have very different social status, so as I can see they follow the rules adopted in society. And this means certain distance. But I think their glances speak volumes, their affection and care for each other are evident. Isn't that nice?

What a wonderful story! This drama is unique, because it is fully focused on friendships of all kinds. The plot, the characters, cinematography, visual and musical aesthetics, all is superb. I enjoyed it so much, now after the last episode feeling grateful and happy.

Waiting for next episodes and pondering... The fact of editing and shorter episodes isn't the main thing we should focus on. I see captivating and quite understandable plot, very good cinematography and acting, interesting relationship dynamic. I'm enjoying it.
