However, the issue is that the story borrows heavily from a famous novel — it uses the same character names and references key parts of the original plot, even though it's an adaptation.
Because of that, people tend to associate it directly with the original work. Some viewers may only watch it because they like the actors, but for fans of the novel, it’s frustrating. They don’t want the characters they love to be misunderstood or misrepresented, especially when the story is very different from the original.
