I love dramas that criticize the Korean culture and this one did that. I like the idea of giving Koreans a bit of diversity into their strict lifestyles
The only thing i dislike about this masterpiece is the ending where they let Woo Joo dropped out of school and…
The ending was supposed to give a message to the kids in Korean society that there are other options out there for them, options they haven't even dreamed of. Life doesn't have to be living hell and happiness and a happy family etc are more important than good grades and getting into a good university. That was the whole point of the drama (as the director said so himself).
Seo-Ins husband is a rapist and a wifebeater. if you go as far as to justify that with Moral Standards in the 21st century in an industrialized Country, there is something wrong with the message this Drama brings across. Seo-Ins husband is the absolute Antagonist! there is Nothing to like About him…. he beats up his wife every Chance he gets and has no remorse till the very end. that's not About culture and i dont think thats what the makers of the Drama tried to say
I loved this drama but the kids were extremely bratty in the beginning. never encountered such horrid children in real live (I spend a lot of time with kids)
Most of the conversations between the bad people are extremely boring! Who thought anyone would find those interesting? It's obvious they are trying to fill the episodes with whatever
Romance might not be the main aspect of this drama, but never had a drama believe me that two people are meant for each other the way this one did. Couldn't stop watching because of the everlasting, all-overcoming love kind of vibe
