I’m starting to think that someone needs to have a serious sit down with New Siwaj. Not sure if it’s because he’s incompetent or what, but he keeps making questionable choice after a questionable choice, especially in his last 3 series We are, Fourever You & P10L. The only thing that saving his shows is the acting and chemistry of the actors; we saw that with Maxky & Bas and now with Perth & Santa who are doing the best they can with poor direction and poor scripts.
These are where he dropped the ball in my opinion: - Incapable of properly managing the separate arcs between couples. - Constant blasting of music, especially during intimate moments. - Excessive use of unnecessary sound effects every single moment. I understand using them to highlight key actions, but not every single time they blink or turn their head. - Completely ignoring the source material from the books and just doing whatever with the script. - Letting obvious and easy fixable errors ruin the viewers immersion such as heavy make up on the artists, constant changing hairstyles, makeup left on characters clothing etc - Butchering the storyline by wasting time on irrelevant plot points while rushing at the end through important parts of the ML‘s story and character development. - I’m sure there were things that could have been fixed with the script writers and the production team, but you’re the Director it’s your job to see the overall picture and take control of these things.
And this is just the few things I noticed as a non-expert. Honestly, I thought people had been exaggerating when they talked about New’s directing, but after the fiasco of the last two episodes, I am in full agreement. Something needs to happen. I’m already dreading how he’s going to butcher ReVamp and Forever you P2.

I mentioned on one BL edit video how they really put so much makeup on him and almost got crucified lol. The makeup is so thick and so white it’s unnatural. How they don’t see it is beyond me 🤷♂️

I really haven’t commented on Dunk’s acting the whole show cause I didn’t wanna seem like I was jumping on the hate train but that crying scene took me TF out. I legit thought Style was joking, and when I realized it was supposed to be real tears, I just couldn’t. First time I had to fast forward past a scene since I started watching THK. The secondhand embarrassment was so real 🫣😬 I really hope he doesn’t have to do any more crying or anything emotionally taxing for the rest of the show because I’m enjoying Style as a character. Let’s just stick with the outrageous comedy ok 👌
There is a 0.1 % progress in Dunk's acting since his debut...he is so stiff in acting as well as in body posture..…
Tbh I think that’s just how Dunk‘s body is. If you watch edits of them at events or promotions and look at Dunk walking, he’s actually naturally awkward and stiff in his movements. This is pretty unfortunate though, because its really noticeable in his characters when he’s acting.
I genuinely think he enjoys the perceived ‘hold’ he has on Yotha.
When Yotha was crying at the bar and hugging Wa, did you guys see the smirk he had on his face like ‘yeah he definitely still needs me’ 😏
Then when Yotha kissed Wa I did not see Wa pulling away. In fact, he was holding onto Yotha’s hips like he could’ve kept going all day, not a thought in his mind for Klao.
Later on, he’s telling Klao that him and Yotha are just brothers while also telling him “I probably won’t be able to let him go”. In his head he completely destroyed Yotha’s world and doesn’t see him getting better anytime soon so exactly how long does he want Klao to wait while he holds on to his ex?
Don’t get me wrong, Klao is a violent red flag himself, but he is 100% being gaslit by Warit.
Also Warit keeps insisting he only sees Yotha as a brother, but I think he’s doing way too much because his actual brother Newton is so unbothered by his brother’s antics and doesn’t seem to give much of a damn about him 😒
Still, I love Boom and I’m totally here for the messiness 😇
The originally planned only 16 episodes but now it’s been moved up to 17 possibly even 18. That’s great and all, but 1. Where did they get this extra footage from? 2. What were they going to do with this extra footage if they didn’t extend the show??? Were they just not gonna use it? If it’s enough to make an episode or two that means it was relevant to the story. How were they just not gonna use it until the fans started complaining about JonahNorth not getting enough screen time before adding it on???

I could care less whether or not the two ML’s kissed. This is a story of young love. In my opinion, the writers clearly executed the story they wanted to tell. Why anyone would allow the number of kisses to affect their enjoyment of what is clearly a sweet love story between youths is beyond me & kinda creepy.
