I think the male lead's shady boss planted something in his head after his parents death everytime he has that…
i hope we get more on that in Season 2 if it happens! My hubs was also making a big deal of whatever it was they implanted in his brain. There's so much more story to go on with if they choose to continue... pleeeeeeease
Ep7 is so sweet. Who would have thought our frosty hedgehog Shin Haru would be a great marriage counsellor? ðŸ¤
But seriously, for something marketed as a comedy, #BrainWorks has been teaching great life lessons and i love it for that! For starters, it has got me thinking about my marriage and how i treat my husband, and more than once at that.
There is always more than meets the eye, so do not be so quick to form judgments based on fragmentary knowledge. (Like *cough* episode 1 *cough). This is one key lesson Brain Works is trying to teach us, on top of the bite-sized brain science, and it's one we will do well to learn and apply in our real lives too.
Besides the stellar performances of the leads Jung Yong Hwa and Cha Tae Hyun, what i love most about this drama so far is how they have incorporated brain diseases and anomalies into the cases without making it seem too contrived, or added just because they need to. The case of the day DOES hinge on the brain disease of the day, that is all i should say for now. The hilarious bromance between Haru and Myungse is also a highlight, and the whodunnit lover in me is absolutely intrigued by Haru's past as well as his relationship with various characters who knew him as a child.
This is a drama that gets better with each episode, and i can't wait to see how the story unfolds. i'm also expecting GREAT THINGS from Jung Yong Hwa, who has been absolutely spectacular in his role so far.
