so i have been dropping a lot of chinese dramas lately, they have just been recycling stories and don't get me wrong, with decent actors and good production it could still stick but must have been disappointing. so i decided to start this drama because of the good reviews and it started ok towards the 4th episode i felt maybe i would have to drop this too but from episode 6 chile i was hooked and finished this drama in one sitting. this is a new storyline that teaches family doesn't just mean related by blood.
*pros* 1. The cute relationships are just pure bliss to watch, with the siblings, i wished i had elder brothers lol. Then there was the DADmance lol so cute. then the girlfriend/roommates very relatable lol. 2. I don't think Li Hai Chao got enough credit but he was too good to be true.... loving these kids unconditionally like his own without holding grudges or expecting anything in return. 3. The feels were real because the actors are daebak! i cried a lot and i laughed a lot too (Li jian jian can be a full blown clown without even knowing lol) kudos to all of the actors 4. The side stories were not mediocre, you know how chinese dramas have side characters and completely ignore them or maybe write some dumb story line for them... this was different. Everyone's story was loud enough for you to remember the characters and feel their joys and pains 5. The kisses yoo!!!! Song Wei Long has got to be my fav korean actor right now.... wheeew! 6. The ending was very satisfying, we thank the drama lords 7. The music omg.... i really love the intro song and i let it play out most times. (i usually skip for chinese dramas because they are so long)
*cons/rant* 1.Chen Ting 2.Chen Ting 3.Chen Ting 4.Chen Ting; Never have i ever encountered a selfish, infact wicked mother like her in any dramas.... omg i want to pull her hair, then she smiles like she is okay but she is really just looking for the next best way to frustrate her poor soon with her entitled a**. What's even worse is she never really got medical help for her mental state! her daughter would have made this list as well but she was just a poor victim in all of this.
Even through I still have an unanswered question about how the mom survived this ending is just so satisfying.…
i came here specifically to ask that... like how tf did she survive... we needed an episode to explain the whole thing... thats my only disappointment in this drama!! they made the grand reveal underwhelming!
This drama takes the record of my biggest skip in an asian drama lol.... i skipped from episode 10 to 20 (the story wasnt going anywhere) and i really didn't feel like i missed a lot. Usually i would drop dramas like this but the ml and fl are so cute and have amazing chemistry.... like there aren't up to 3 chinese dramas i ve watched without clingy cringe puppy love female leads (i find this very annoying) so when i encounter one i thank the drama gods lol. i just wanted to see what else they can spin with the story hence i spent about 5mins to 10mins on each episode after episode 20 just to see where it goes and just as i thought there wasn't much apart from the mums story. anyways this is worth your time. the male and female leads are so beautiful and their acting is okay. i think if i was more in the mood for this kind of dramas my views will be different.
The way I come to read comments and watch YouTube videos about this drama while waiting for it to finish airing so I can watch is really funny.... I just know I will really enjoy this drama and I can’t wait to spoil myself with this treat

yea the pms story was such a waste like they could have told us more about her rags to riches story and her ex husband.... a lot of characters were under utillized. but i cannot thank them enough for making the male lead smart al the way to the end! it reminded me of how much i hate the cliche of a smart lead who repeatedly makes mistakes and isnt aware of stuffs lol .

Totally agree with you on the prime minister. There were so many ways to actually exploit her story but they just made her useless and then towards the end we find out she was divorced like wowza lol.... I wonder if the head court grandma is the only one that came with the kings grandpa from Korea. Eun sop and na ri In Both worlds should have have romance.... they had more chemistry than the leads.
The negative comments made me want to put off watching this drama but i decided to take a bold step and wowwwwwwww!!!!!!…

The negative comments made me want to put off watching this drama but i decided to take a bold step and wowwwwwwww!!!!!! did we all watch the same drama! this drama is great (not perfect of course). it has a different refreshing story and i was glued to the screen especially from somewhere in the middle. the cinematography is great and everything is just so beautiful. ps don't come looking for a full blown romance i guess thats why people might be disappointed because the romance feels disconnected sometimes. The mystery about the time travel, doppelganger, the suspense, crime, the plot twists..... are the main selling points of this drama for me. sometimes i was confused like what is going on lol but in the end it all makes sense. so bottom line.... try it out for yourself, dont have your expectations too high, hang in through the confusion from the beginning till about episode 7 and episode 14 lol and you will really enjoy this. i ll add some more commentary in the reply as spoilers.

lol because he is scum.... he is just a bad person. (although she was too tight up on a perfectionist life but this is no excuse for him to cheat). they didnt really tell us why his friends helped him but they will be more loyal to him because they attended the same schools or something.... in other words they knew him longer than they knew her. and i could sense some jealousy among the ladies towards sun woo so yea thats my theory
Alternative titles--> "The lowest is what", "how low can you go", "The world of scums" .... lol I ll start by saying this is a unique storyline to me and i found it captivating so i sat through the 16 episodes straight in one day. so its really a slice of life interesting drama.....with that being said i'll dive into an emotional rant of all the characters..... yes all of them in this drama were scum to varying degrees..... the lowest degree of scumness was dr kim and the highest degree of scumness was Lee tae oh...... as a matter of fact there is low, lower, Lee Tae Oh..... you get the point lol.
