I completely agree this isn't a romance per se. I feel like this drama was more of a slice of life and showed you what not to do when starting a romance and what could've been.

Review The Interest of Love Spoiler
I completely agree with you especially the first part about her being toxic. I watched this drama initially because I was curious as to why it had received the rating that it did. After completing it I understand now. This is the first time I can say that the writing for a drama was not the best. They really wrote the female leading character poorly. They tried to make us believe that she was kind-hearted but was she really? She really came across as highly sensitive, immature, and cowardly. I'm not done there she also seems to have maybe an inferiority complex or she just allowed her insecurity(not being a part of a certain social status) to get the best of her. Lastly, till the end we never, well at least I never, really understood her and her actions. The male leading character had his fair share of problems too, one of them being that he was way too patient with someone who didn't deserve it and he almost seemed to have enabled her behavior. Another issue with this drama is the plot hole. The biggest one was that we never found out if he ever watched the recording and on top of that she(which adds to her toxic behavior) never cleared up to anyone that she didn't sleep with Sang Su’s friend. Like you said if you want to watch some of toxicity and foolishness take place slowly then this is the drama for you.

P.S. I forgot to mention that I also agree that after a while the drama seemed to have going by slowly especially the dialogue my goodness I had to skip some scenes after a while.
