While i did like the series overall, i think the screenwriters did a pretty bad job in conveying the original story. Not quite sure why they chose to dumb down the story, maybe to make it as lighthearted as possible.. So, the actors did a pretty good job with what they were given (which to be frank was not much). There was so much more to their story, i would have loved to see in the series. Oh, and, I loved every bit of Jack/Ten they gave us. And i would love to see their novel put into it's own series (only if they keep as much of the original as possible in the screenplay). Didn't see much of other Gunner/ Newton works, but i think they can pull this through.
