Yess!! There's so much food in this drama xD Almost made me hungry while watching last night... and him teaching her the recipes everytime is kinda wholesome to watch!

FL is 22 yrs old and ML is 29 yrs old

Fourth ML overall doesn't have much screen presence with such glorified characters already present. His character might get interesting in S 2... but ending with the FL? Not a chance...
Her brother is the most complicated character here and definitely not someone everyone would like. He's a lot psychotic tbh but the actor left a great impression on me with his on point acting.

From those ep short thoughts, I can see your excitement for this drama haha. Was considering to start it during the Christmas break. That special "dialogues corner" convinced me! 👍🏻

Yeah it somehow ended up with lacking in the script only. There were several ways to bring the same story to us and make it more convincing with additional changes. Shan Shan was going to be that character people could pity on if we're given any background on "why she behaves like this or scared to commit" But they never went to explain it to us, later her constant push and pull game with Guan Ji became annoying at a point.

Haha this character Shiyi really got talked about a lot by many viewers. So its normal that she comes out as a very badly written character... I'm on ep 33 of SOKP so yes its very different from this. I'm almost at the finale and this was such an intriguing watch with great acting! Whole palace scheming is well done for sure!

Started off as dumbest FL in refrence to how she reacted to the whole misunderstanding part and depending totally on your bff's words also didn't came off as smart. Her work skills prove she had a brain. So her smartness was actually contradictory.

I did mention some points that you said in my review here like agreed that FL wasn't totally dumb, infact great in her work, quite impressive when taking interviews yet she failed to communicate when it came to her relationship. Meanwhile Shan Shan was horrible at advices haha. I liked their friendship too its just that shan shan knew all of shuyi and she even gave advices at each step but shuyi had no idea about shan shan's relationship issues or who she met everyday. A friendship should have been from both sides at least. As for Dylan, agreed!! He was great in his role, one of those reasons I stayed to finish this.

But its sad that Baby isn't there 🤧... Rest of the cast is still good enough 😍

Exactly with the ceo theme and brainless plot and such hot chemistry, this could have been a sweet light Romcom at least. Last episodes were the proof that they could do well in that zone but instead they dragged on misunderstandings for so many eps... Shan Shan being her bff was a total blunder. How does she call herself her bff when Shuyi didn't even knew what's going on in her love life. Plus her horrible advices were a big red flag!

Ikr. Especially because it became too draggy and repetitive for many episodes.

Its been long since a drama has made my blood boil like this. I still don't want to drop this as only 8 episodes are left. Its upsetting that I was excited for "this" drama for so long.

The ending looks so entangled on the surface but I think that's where the director wants to leave a way out of their complicated relationship. He is leaving it on the audience who can fill that gap with whatever ending they prefer. Whoever wished for a realistic approach can imagine that and who just wanted them to be together and be more brave for their feelings can suppose they got their happy ending at last. This depth... this is why I loved the ending.

Won't call it a masterpiece yet but damn with all this waiting, it better be worth it...

Was so impressed with her acting in My Journey to You earlier and she's so young. Looking forward to her future dramas!
