-Above the Heartstrings (2024) is a romance miniseries with Zhang Han (as Jiang Jun Hao) and Wang Bing Bing (as Gu Yu Nian) in the leading couple’s role. The drama starts with a traumatic event for Gu Yu Nian when her father’s is trying to sell her into a marriage with a mentally challenged person to continue his gambling addiction. Yu Nian get involved with Jiang Jun Hao and gets into a contract marriage. As their relationship deepens into a mutually steadfast love, things get crazily complicated with a crazy antagonist and, later on, as it seems like the couple is settling into a peaceful and fruitful time on their lives, the drama turns dark with her father going crazier than ever. The drama has a lighthearted rushed happy ending but, even with the lead couple’s cute interaction, their chemistry was simply nice and cute.
