Dusk Love (2024) is a romance miniseries with Dai Gao Zheng (as Huo Jin Yan) and An Yong Chang (as Jian Mo Ran) in the leading couple’s role. The drama is nice and the romance between Huo Jin Yan and Jian Mo Ran developed nicely through the duration of the drama. The main leads have some moments of good chemistry that started to fade as the drama progressed and their romantic moments were faded with light effects, body positioning, or interruptions. The storyline is interesting and Dai Gao Zheng did a decent job to keep the viewer’s interested. There are many comments on the acting and disposition of the leading lady that seemed more focused on creating an statuesque image with a stoic persona.; she didn’t have a good range of emotions which made her character cold and calculative. By the end of the drama, even with the happy ending, the leading lady was wide eye and sterner looking as he gives her a heartfelt proposal. Even Dao Gao Zheng looked less engaged as the end was approaching; still. the drama is enjoyable as long as no one expects an ardent romance.
