With so many possible lists to make, why be negative? The internet is mean enough, lists like this don't help…
This list doesn't tell anyone to be negative. This is about everyone's personal choices, so not everyone will have the same favs, there will be disagreements. But before writing anything people should think about what they are writing but many don't unfortunately. Even after writing it, they can reread it out to themselves but they still dont realise the negativity. And some are just trolls who write mean stuff on purpose to annoy others.
The main reason I hate xianxia or fantasy idk dramas is bc the exaggerated voices of females😭 like have you…
These days there are some improvements for example more actors prefer to use their voice for dubbing or if drama is based on teen days to adult days (e.g Hidden Love) then voices change. BUT OMG in the past every female character especially in hystorical/fantasy ones had a squeaky child-like voice!
yeah but i don't think TW deserves a higher rating than dramas like Move to Heaven and Nirvana in Fire
Move To Heaven (2021) and Nirvana In Fire (2015) are not from 2023 or started in 2022 and ended in 2023 therefore it does not count towards this list.
Twinkling Watermelon, Move To Heaven, and Nirvana In Fire are different genres and have different synopses, so no matter which one is how highly/lowly rated it can't be compared. However, if you were to rank it in, for example, a favorites list, it can be between 1 and__.
Overhype often leads to disappointment, so I can see how the two are correlated
These days a lot of drama is overhyped not to mention how well fans make edits with even better quality than the drama itself. So when you watch the drama it just does not feel the same.
Love Song For Illusion is currently airing and will end in 2024 therefore it does not count toward 2023 according to this list.
Except for Jihoon, the whole drama is lower than average. They should have chosen an actress with more experience for such a complex role. But I get that they were trying to push her. Honestly, I dont think I've ever seen her in any dramas.
yes. at a certain point it got bland and just dragged on. if it wasn't for Netflix pushing it I dont think it…
it truly is. and then some people are fighting back that I'm a My Demon fan that's why I'm removing it but they dont bother understanding that it ended in 2024 so it doesn't count towards 2023. Like I had to explain so many times they still being ignorant😭
Just realized the director's past work was WLFKBJ no wonder it gave 2016 vibes cause no other drama gives 2016 like WLFKBJ! Like if I were to pick one 2016 drama from the top of my head it would be WLFKBJ.
The satisfaction I got when her mum realized she was in the wrong and told HN how much she was loved! CAUSE I WAS GONNA THROW HANDS IF MUM AND DAUGHTER WERE GONNA MISUNDERSTAND EACH OTHER AND MUM NOT TAKE DEPRESSION SERIOUSLY LIKE MOST ASIAN PARENTS EVEN IN THIS DAY AND AGE! Anyways glad it was cleared up.
why is rating not going high after the episode 2, I mean literally I loved ep2, I rewatched the last 20 min part…
There are a lot of PSH haters who most likely rated it down. In every drama I've seen her in or that got announced with her people would criticize it for casting her. BTW i've seen eps 1 and 2 and loved it!
So good. It is giving me 2016/17 kdrama vibes. I watched the first 2 eps without pausing or skipping even once. Time flew as I was watching. From this, you can tell how great of a drama it is as nowadays it's hard to watch dramas without skipping or pausing to check how much I've watched. I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for romance, comedy, and slice of life.
1. Will the whole drama be set abroad or will they return to China at some point?

I AGREE! Thinking of dropping it as well.
