For some reason, I can't bring myself to dislike Yurim. Being at the top is so hard, and having someone new come in, and quickly rise to your level is even harder. If this were a perfect world, we would expect Yurim to be kinder to Heedo since Heedo was a fan, but if you think about it, it honestly makes it harder for Yurim. It was simpler for her to tell Heedo to stop idolizing her so that Yurim didn't have to put on false pretenses. And although there were way too many moments where Yurim was too harsh, the thing I love about this drama is that they were logical and you can see where she's coming from.

Wait Jelly didn't know how to play piano?
hahaha no- you can tell because they never show her face and hands in the same frame like they do with Steven. like in the first episode, they use more distant shots showing Steven and the piano and his hands but for Jelly, it's either her face, a back view, or her hands and the piano

As a violinist, I had to drop this like 5 episodes in because OMG the violin portrayals are just SO unrealistic :( these guys explain the violin parts so well and even get a real luthier to add some substance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l0iagwQzaM :) love zhao lusi so much though, so maybe i'll try it again later!

No, she never likes Yu Yan. Only thinks of him as a friend :)
She liked him back in high school but lost feelings for him after she graduated

Im a bit confused, how is this drama related to ashes of love? can someone please explain this to me?
Also, it was produced by the same company I think. I'm pretty sure Ashes of Love, Skate Into Love, and a third drama are part of an unrelated to each other trilogy

One of my top 10 dramas for sure, but it was so awkward to watch the flashbacks where the ML was going back to elementary school but instead of using the child actor they had Steven Zhang play it? It was just so cringey, especially in the scenes where he had to cry because of FL's bullying. Anyone relate?

the "mini extras" are hypothetical conclusions, but they don't actually happen. took me awhile to figure it out too

I tried so hard not to drop it because it's rare that the actors can actually play the instrument (well, Steven could, Jelly couldn't) but the FL's character was just so one-dimensional :( dropped after episode 8. Also, whoever wrote the script does not understand music at all- if she was learning it by ear, there's no way she would've had wrong rhythms and notes? (not sure what she was doing wrong as they didn't really say) unless the actual recording was also wrong. In addition, in the first episode the music teacher keeps saying "faster faster" when the ML is playing the piano... there's a set speed throughout the piece, sometimes it'll change but it will never just keep increasing throughout the piece. You would think they could've gotten a professional musician to look over the parts about music :(

Is it just me or does he always look like he would look more "right" with glasses on (in the dramas where he isn't wearing them)... not sure why but whenever he doesn't wear them I feel so weird

the intern who didn't even have anything to do with the contract would expect to get fired? like if she did work on the contract it would make more sense but i'm pretty sure she didn't work on the contract so why would it make sense to blame her?
