Meh. This one was all over the place for me. Didn't care for the female lead, and there was almost too much mystery and too much going on in general. It's not until the end where they literally show you what happened that you're able to connect all the dots. I can handle one or two twists, but this one had, like, 5 which is a lot of information to carry with you from episode to episode. Low-key shocked it's rated as highly as it is.
YYYYOOOoooooo... This drama restored my passion for KDramas. The fire was starting to cool off, and this show reignited it. I'm a sucker for stereotypical love stories. I agree about the ending, though. They built that apex up something fierce but it left very little impact. I didn't mind the small part that came after though. They pulled me back in with that dire romance every. time. Also added Bumkey - "When I Saw You" to my playlist. ^_^
Is this drama worth watching if you're not a Yoon Gyun Sang super fan? I've seen at least 2 other dramas that cover the story of Hong Gil Dong, and I'm not sure I have it in me to do another one.
I'm kind of getting tired with Alzheimer's as a major plot point. I feel like there's only so much that you can do with it, and I've already seen two dramas that satisfied my personal quota. I'm hoping they move onto something else soon, or rather, I'm hoping that they stop basing dramas around Alzheimer's and balance the malady with other things.
I agree with just about everything with the exception of Lee Joon Gi's for best actor. The man is an acting genius and the lack of support is a crying shame.
I suppose someone has to lose, though, and all of those actors are pretty superb. I'm glad I could lend what support I had. ^^
I really liked this movie! Watched it for Joon Ki, but I really ended up liking the story.
The comedy enacted by the troupe is pretty crass and "rude" but it's the same kind of comedy you can see in movies these days as well.
There are also some homosexual themes as well, but with Joon Ki's face I can't really blame them. Especially because he looks extra feminine in this role.
If you don't like uncomfortable themes perhaps this is not for you, but I really liked it!
I wish Changmin had done more dramas throughout his career (in general. I'm not saying that his career is over). I do believe he's slated to go into the army soon?
Wow. A 2 year hiatus to overcome a scandal. I'm not sure if I would have watched the new drama just for him, but Park Shi Hoo + Lee Soo Hyuk will do the trick.
I don't know if the scandal was true or not, but it is very disappointing. I liked watching Shi Hoo in dramas, and I'm just hoping that knowing about the scandal won't affect the way I feel when watching his dramas.
At any rate, Park Shi Hoo fighting! I hope everything turns out well in the end.
Planning to watch for No Min Woo. I feel like he grows a lot as an actor with each role he takes on, so I'm looking forward to seeing how much better an actor he'll be in this drama. ^_^
I wish from the very bottom of my heart that I didn't watch this movie. Lee joon gi, I wasn't expecting that from…
This comment alone now has me unbelievably curious about this movie. I can handle some "uncomfortable" roles for actors that I adore, and now I really want to know how this movie will test my devotion.
I just threw it on my "Plan to Watch" list.
