a beautiful romance drama with medical and military/police theme!

You are my hero is a perfect blend of romance, medical and military police.
It is a must watch for those who dislike misunderstandings, love rivals and mean families. In You are my hero, there is none of that going on. You are my hero is a refreshingly mature drama, as main leads actually are understanding, caring and loyal.

THE STORY:
You are my hero revolves around Mi Ka. Mi Ka is a doctor who studies neurology and wants to become a good neurosurgeon. Mi Ka goes to buy a present for her parent's wedding anniversary, when suddenly there is a robbery in the jewelry store. There is a medical emergency and she bravely takes care of it even in the middle of the robbery. When SWAT team arrives, one of the robbers put a hand grenade on her hand, and she then meets SWAT Tiger assault team's Captain Xing Kelei. Xing Kelei saves her and takes the grenade from her hand in a safe place.

2 years later, Mi Ka's hospital wants their doctors to take an emergency course from SWAT team. Mi Ka leaves without permission because a very gifted doctor, Dr.Shao is in town, and she has a friend/patient that she wants to save. Mi Ka wants to ask Dr. Shao's opinion on things. When looking for a way to get to the hospital, Xing Kelei drives by and offers her a ride, and almost immediately recognizes Mi Ka. When she comes back to the base, Xing Kelei gives her a punishment to clean the toilets. Xing Kelei starts to have a crush on her almost immediately. Even though he is a hard instructor, he is a caring person.

Soon they are friends and show their mutual interest in each other. As a special policeman and doctor, they both are busy people yet have a lot of understanding towards each other. Xing Kelei as a special policeman has to drop everything in case of an emergency. As a doctor, Mi Ka is often helping with the emergency, when medical attention is needed.

SPOILER PART OF THE STORY, MY OPINION:
Mi Ka's and Xing Kelei's relationship is very mature as they understand each other. Mi Ka spends a lot of time in the hospital and in private she watches videos about surgeries. Xing Kelei can be days without contact due to the nature of his work as a special policeman on top of having to stay at the base for training. Mi Ka moves into his apartment (Mi Ka rented it without knowing it is Xing Kelei's apartment.) And as Xing Kelei's sister, Xing Keyao lives in the apartment opposite, Xing Kelei lives with his sister when he is not staying in the base, until eventually moving in with Mi Ka.
In my opinion, their relationship is very cute and mature, but it does get a bit boring in the middle. I think this drama was a little too long and could have been 10 episodes shorter. In this drama, there isn't really much going on. There are no real love rivals (there is one girl who is Xing Kelei's ex captain's daughter, but she only needs him for her medical fees. And even she gets taken care of very quickly, and she doesn't get the chance to create a misunderstanding between them.) There are a couple of times when Xing Kelei gets hurt and gets treatment from Mi Ka and her colleagues.

You are my hero spent too much time on side characters in my opinion. Mi Ka's best friend, Ruan Qing Xia ("Xia") develops a crush on Xing Kelei's team member, Shu Wenbo and starts to chase him. There is a quick love triangle between Shu Wenbo, Xia and Shu Wenbo's and Xing Kelei's friend, Lu Feng.
Other side couples are Dr. Shao and Xing Kelei's sister Xing Keyao and there is some time spent on two of Mi Ka's colleagues too.
It was a shame that in the end we saw Xia and Shu Wenbo getting married and 2 years later it's hinted that Xia is even pregnant, but our main couple is left with the "we are engaged, getting married.. soon." Xing Kelei and Mi Ka got engaged, but then Mi Ka got a chance to study abroad for 2 years and she went. Then we get a time skip 2 years later and Xing Kelei proposes to her again in the end. I felt like this was so unnecessary. In the end also Dr. Shao and Xing Keyao are engaged and are going to go to civil affairs bureau the next day to get their marriage certificates.. The ending just seemed very rushed, which seemed absurd because I think the drama was way too long, and many scenes were unnecessary and too long.

I suggest this drama to those who like medical/military/police theme and dislike love rivals and misunderstandings and want to watch something light and easy.
All in all, i'll give this drama a 9.

ACTING:

Ma Sichun as Mi Ka,
She was a good pick for this role but seemed to lack presence. Her acting got overshadowed by other actors, and she seemed tired and lacked energy. She did act well in her crying scenes and showed realistically the feeling of being scared.

Bai Jing Ting as Xing Kelei,
He was a great pick for this role. His acting naturally stood out the most from the cast, as a lot of time was spent on his missions. When Xing Kelei is sick and needs a surgery, Bai Jing Ting acted out the feelings of panic and frustration very well.

Great for mystery lovers!!

Reset is a heartwarming drama that doesn't disappoint fans of mystery genre lovers.

STORY
Reset tells a story of Li Shiqing, a college student who gets stuck in a timeloop. In the timeloop she is in a bus that explodes everytime. She suffers from many timeloops before managing to leave the bus with a man, Xiao Heyun. Soon she is back in the bus, but this time Xiao Heyun is stuck in the timeloop with her. They together start to think ways to escape the bus, then realizing that they need to stop the bus from exploading and people from dying to leave the timeloop. They very slowly get fond of each other and in the end fall in love.

My Opinion:
The story was made very well. From the start i was interested in the story and what and who was behind the explosion. For me it did get a little bit tiring in the middle, because we got so many background info on characters that turned out to not be that important. Great example was Lu Di. When Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun suspect Lu Di, they stop him from getting in the bus and check his bag only to find a cat in it. That saved Lu Di and he wants to know how Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun knew what was going to happen. We get to know him and they tell Lu Di the whole truth, that they are in a timeloop and that maybe he is in it too now, since they saved him. Lu Di gets all excited and trusts them fully. He is happy to finally have friends and "to be able to be a hero." When Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun fall asleep and by falling asleep, go back in to the timeloop, turns out that Lu Di didn't join them in the timeloop. After this, they rarely talk to Lu Di in the other timeloops and we never get to see them being friends again. It kinda made me sad, since i liked Lu Di and he was so happy to finally have friends, but in the end there were not a single sign that Li Shiqing and Xiao Heyun befriended him again.
What also frustrated me was that everytime they talked to the police, they were VERY nervous and hadn't practiced what they were going to say enough. A lot of time was wasted on police being suspicious of them. But overall i think this drama was great for mystery lovers. It was interesting and it had it's heartwarming end.

CAST

Zhao Jinmai as Li Shiqing,
She was a great pick for this role. She was very believable when showing the signs of her being traumatized, scared and worried. Her facial expressions and body language were great!

Bai Jing Ting as Xiao Heyun,
He acted out this very introverted person who had a lot of intellect. When Xiao Heyun progressed in the drama, so did Bai Jing Ting's acting! At first he was cold and there wasn't much personality in him, but he soon turned out to be brave and caring! Bai Jing Ting was the right pick for Xiao Heyun!

Seo In Guk never fails as main lead

Cafe Minamdang is a good drama to watch when you don't wanna watch anything too complicated.

Cafe Minamdang is your basic police/detective kdrama with a nice funny twist!
This kdrama does have a lot of slapstick humor and can be sometimes a little tiring to watch as the story takes a while to really kickstart.

STORY:
The drama is about a criminal profiler Nam Han-jun (Seo In Guk) who now is pretending to be a shaman with the help of his little sister, ex NIS hacker Nam Hye-jun and Kong Su-cheol, a friend of theirs who runs a private detective agency. While conning the rich with dirty laundry, they come across leads to Nam Han-jun's friend's Prosecutor Han Jae-jung's murder case. Nam Han-jun has been searching for "Gopuri" a serial killer who killed his friend for many years, in a disguise of being a shaman. While trying to get leads in an illegal way, suddenly he comes across a detective, Han Jaehui. Han Jaehui is Han Jae-jung's little sister, who is determined to find out who killed her brother. She has misunderstood Nam Han-jun and now dislikes him. Soon they realize that they need to work together in order to find the serial killer.

My thoughts :
The drama really was interesting. The story did take a while to kickstart but as a fan of comedies, i really wasn't that bothered by it since it meant that there were a lot of funny scenes of Seo In Guk acting as the crazy good shaman. The serial killer's identity was also very well thought and almost all the main characters were very likeable.

CAST:

Seo In Guk as Nam Han-Jun,
He is just perfection. His acting is literally so fun to watch. In one moment he was this crazy funny shaman and then he suddenly turned into this very serious criminal profiler.. Seo In Guk just never fails as a lead. Fun, charming and good looking-! I am really obsessed with his acting and this shaman role was made for him!

Oh Yeon seo as Han Jaehui,
I feel like she was an okay choice. I like her acting but for me she got so overshadowed by Seo In Guk. She felt too plain. I would have loved to see someone as crazily charming as Seo In Guk to match his energy. She was the typical "police/detective girl" aka it meant that she was stronger than all her male coworkers and just overall this tiringly stubborn character. She wouldn't believe in Nam Han-jun's words at all which resulted in her having to learn the hard way to listen to what he is saying.

Overall:
A great drama when you don't wanna watch anything too heavy and enjoy the slapstick comedy while the story is actually pretty well thought out.

Best Esports drama there is

Falling Into Your Smile is simply the best esports drama i've seen. This drama had it all and in good taste. The classical rom com with an amazing gaming twist. Clearly made in collaboration with Onmyoji arena and FNATIC, a real gaming team.

STORY:
Falling into your smile is about love and gaming. The story follows Tong Yao, an amateur gamer who fell in love with onmyoji arena while dating her now ex boyfriend, professional esports player from team CK, Jian Yang. Then one day Tong Yao gets an invitation from ZDGX's manager to join their team as the first female esports player. Tong Yao agrees and we get to follow her journey to the top. As a girl she gets a lot of hate but also admiration. She is labeled as Mulan of esports.

Our main leads, Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng are a bickering couple. Their love story was so cute that i wanted rewatch the drama right after watching it. Lu Sicheng is the best boyfriend and a really nice fresh character. Lu Sicheng loves to tease Tong Yao for everything she does, but when she is feeling down, he comforts her and when she is having period cramps, he takes care of her even though he himself is sick. When Lu Sicheng got jealous over Tong Yao, he never was overbearing. He always was respectful towards Tong Yao in that way. He did joke about her "Collecting stamps" and having "something against team captains" when he noticed that in many teams like FNATIC and CK, other boys started to notice Tong Yao's charms.

The story itself is pretty simple but it was so full of comedy and cute moments between the leads that it's a must watch for those who love rom coms or esports- or both. Not just the main leads but all the side characters are amazing, for example the whole ZDGX team, Tong Yao's best friend Jingyang and Ai Jia, her professional esports player boyfriend from team YWCB.
The gaming montages are everything in this drama. It was so high quality and fun to watch!

CAST:

Cheng Xiao as Tong Yao aka Smiling, i feel like she was an okay pick. She is cute and petite but i felt her facial expressions little lame. She didn't have many expressions and was pretty much a little bit dull. She did a good job but i would have wished for a little bit more spice from her.

Xu Kai as Lu Sicheng aka Chessman, Xu Kai is the master of facial expressions and is funny just by looking at the camera with a serious face. When he fell in love and became this needy cute teasing boyfriend, his facial expressions shined even more. He did an amazing job as always.

others that stood out for me were

Sun Kai as Xiao Pang aka Pang/Chubby, even though i sometimes wonder why do the "chubby" characters must make their whole personality all about being "chubby". I was laughing a lot for his scenes. Especially when he was always the one seeing Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng together to eventually getting them caught for dating. He was the cutest character and Sun Kai is truly a fine actor.

GaoHan as K, I love Gaohan's acting in this. He is this cold and hard to approach but deep down really soft and caring person. Many funny moments with the whole team teasing ZDGX were some of his best scenes.

MUSIC:
The ost album i really good and i especially like the one where Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao sing the ost.

Highly recommended to watch this one if you are looking for some soft rom com to cheer up your day.

The Love Will Last Forever

One of the best dramas of the year 2022. If you are a fan of Xianxia or Wuxia, this one is for you.
If you have watched dramas like "Love Between Fairy and Devil" This one is something you don't wanna miss.

STORY : The story is about star crossed lovers. Heavenly Realm, the home of our main leads Yan Dan, a descendant of four leaf lotus and Sovereign Lord Ying Yuan. In Heavenly Realm love is forbidden and the punishment for falling in love is very painful. Defying the rules, they fall in love.
As they try their hardest to keep their feelings to themselfs, Ying Yuan gets poisoned in a war against demon realm and Yandan saves Lord Ying Yuan's life by giving him half of her lotus heart, then her sister ZhiXi takes the credit for it and Yandan lets her.
She is later on framed for poisoning a fairy and on her way to get punished, she asks Ying Yuan that does he believe her. Ying Yuan knew all along it was Yandan who saved him and he knows about her feelings, but due to the heavenly rules and because he wants to protect Yandan from the punishment of love, he acts like he doesn't know the truth and that he doesn't love her. Yandan is heartbroken and since she was betrayed by her sister and then rejected by the man she loves, she jumps from the bridge of emptiness. Ying Yuan saves her from dying, but she can't be an immortal anymore, now she must go to the mortal realm. She is supposed to walk the night forgetting river and forget her memories to be able to go to the mortal realm. She couldn't forget Ying Yuan and walked for almost 900 years, until she was saved by Ying Yuan again and finally able to forget him.
When she finally goes to mortal realm, she is a demon. Her friend, our 2nd male lead who also is in love with her, Yu Mo, a descendant of the nine fins clan, left the heavenly realm to be with Yandan. He was searching for her for those 900 years in the mortal realm and finally meets up with her and brings her to his home. Ying Yuan is suspecting that something happened during the war and goes to investigate in the mortal realm. In the mortal realm he doesn't know that he is actually a sovereign lord. He is now Tang Zhou, a taoist whose sect kills demons. Naturally these two lovers were destined to meet and Tang Zhou imprisons her, but doesn't kill her. He starts slowly liking her and soon we are in the same situation all over again. Tang Zhou is supposed to be the next sect leader, therefore love is forbidden from him.

What i liked and disliked about the story?

I personally loved the story very much. I enjoyed that the story didn't happen only in the heavenly realm and the characters really shined in the mortal realm. The sisterly love between Zhixi and Yandan touched me as a big sister myself. Yu Mo being the best friend for Yandan was quite sad and beautiful at the same time. He sacrificed so much for Yandan but still could never take Ying Yuan's place in her heart. But he was fine with it. The love story between Yandan and Ying Yuan was beautiful yet painful to watch. It might be due to Cheng Yi being a such an amazing actor that i really felt the love Ying Yuan had for Yandan. The story was really full of sacrifices being made which was a little too much for me. They were literally ready to die for each other every 10 minutes..I felt like that was a little tiring. I really hoped for some kind of development for Yandan's powers. because i felt like she was just in the way a lot. She was told not to come because it's dangerous and yet she came and had to be protected quite a bit. Also another let down for me was the Ying Yuan's Azura bloodline. We are told about Ying Yuan's azura bloodline in the very beginning, yet i didn't quite understand how your bloodline could affect your personality. When we were told about Ying Yuan's parents, it was clear that Xuanye, Ying Yuan's father loved Ranqing, Ying Yuan's mother, but couldn't let go of his own greed for wanting to rule the six realms. He couldn't let either one go. "My love and this world, i can let go of neither of them"
So i didn't really get how Ying Yuan's azura bloodline could be a bad thing. And we really didn't get the explanation for it, His bloodline did activate in the last 5 minutes of the last episode.
The ending wasn't so satisfactory as i wished for it to be but it was saved due to the special episodes.

THE MAIN CAST:

YANG ZI as Yandan. I really enjoyed her acting as Yandan, she could play off the childish, care free version of her but also the mature version very well. She was to me a pretty standard fairy main role. "Cute" is the first thing that comes to mind when trying to explain her. She was cute but she was also selfless and smart. Yang Zi did a good job overall!

CHENG YI as Ying Yuan, Tang Zhou and Demon Lord Xuanye.
Cheng Yi did an amazing job as he had to act three different roles, even though Ying Yuan and Tang Zhou were pretty similar.

Ying Yuan was a responsible yet mischievious sovereign lord with the realms on his shoulders. He wasn't meant to fall in love but he did. Cheng Yi's acting when it came to Ying Yuan was top notch. When he was in love with Yandan, you could see it in his eyes and the way he smiled. Cheng Yi's smirks were everything! The hurt and care he showed towards Yandan felt so real.
Tang Zhou was very similar character to Ying Yuan but more free and selfish when it came to being with Yandan. Only because of his time as Tang Zhou, could he decide as Ying Yuan to stay with Yandan. Cheng Yi pulled it off so well.

Now, Cheng Yi, Cheng Yi.. He really didn't have to steal my heart like that but he did it and he did it as Xuanye. I feel like i just want a whole new season of Immortal Samsara but make it all about Xuanye. He stole the show. Cheng Yi as the bad demon lord was something i hadn't seen before and i fell for him in an instant. Hot, mean and cool. "DON'T BE STUBBORN. BE MY QUEEN"

apart from these two, i feel like Meng Zi Yi as ZhiXi really stood out the most for me.

THE MUSIC :

10/10. The ost Agarwood is something i've been listening a lot lately.

THE COSTUMES:
The outfits were everything! So beautiful! the costume team did an amazing job as the wigs for Cheng Yi were amazing and i loved all of his outfits! Yang Zi's clothes were also very beautiful yet they were pretty much the same. The best outfits had Meng Zi Yi and Cheng Yi for sure!

Healer gets it’s unique parts from the actors. Their chemistry wasn’t the best i’ve seen but it was still cute and interesting!

The things i like,
Ji Chang Wook, Interesting plot, romance that is in balance, funny scenes and the mystery in this drama that makes you wanna watch all the episodes in one night.

A Realistic Idol Drama with a Spice of Love and Law

Idol I is an idol drama, meaning that the main male lead, Do La Ik, is an idol boy group member.
The drama tries to show the truth about idol life, while also having its plot focused on romance and law. I highly suggest this drama to K-pop fans and those who enjoy romance law dramas, without too much “legalities” and with minimal misunderstandings between the main couple.

STORY:
Meng Sena is a lawyer and a fan of the global K-pop boy group, Goldboys. She keeps her personal life and professional life separated to the best of her ability. When her favorite member, Do La Ik, is suddenly suspected of being the murderer of his fellow bandmate Kang Wooseong, Meng Sena promises herself to keep her personal feelings hidden as she takes on the role of Do La Ik’s lawyer. The drama focuses on finding out who the killer is while showing the viewer the harsh reality of what it takes to be an idol.

SPOILER PART OF THE STORY, MY OPINION:
Idol I showcases the harsh truth about being an idol: the fights and misunderstandings between group members, the fans’ obsessive behavior, and the huge expectations idols struggle with. As an idol drama, the show does well. The drama shows how idols can dislike their sasaengs and how they impact their lives, while also showing the deep gratitude idols have toward the supportive fans who helped them reach the heights they are at.
Personally, I enjoyed that part of the drama the most, as I can only imagine how my favorite groups have struggled, and it is a good reminder to some obsessive fans of what damage they can do to their favorite idol.

The plot doesn’t really have much law in itself, aside from the main female lead, Meng Sena, being a lawyer and using her knowledge to free Do La Ik from the detention cell and from being convicted. She takes Do La Ik into her home and takes care of him when he appears to have no one who believes in his innocence. It is revealed that Meng Sena has a past with Do La Ik from when they were young. He managed to save her life when she was struggling with her father’s wrongful conviction and the deaths of her father and mother. She became a fan due to the gratitude and hope he had given her.
In the last episode, she finally manages to do what she always wanted to do: investigate and prove her father’s innocence. For a 12-episode drama, it was understandable yet disappointing that this was left to the very last episode. However, understanding that the main plot was always about her relationship with Do La Ik and his case, it was okay in my opinion. To call this a law drama would be incorrect in my opinion, as the law is just a side story.

As the plot advances, the drama does a good job of giving viewers mixed signals about who could be the culprit, as in the idol world, there are many corrupt people. It is just reality. Personally, I think the culprit being his ex-girlfriend Hyejoo was slightly a letdown, though it was also realistic—especially for Hyejoo, who grew up as an illegitimate daughter with money but no love.

The silver lining is Meng Sena, who does not waver in her belief that Do La Ik is innocent and in her willingness to continue helping him even after he finds out that she is a fan and fires her as his lawyer. She shows the side of K-pop fans who truly love their idol.
“Real love is cheering someone on from far away, no matter where they are or who they become, believing in them.”
It is this love from Sena that Do La Ik falls in love with. Their love story was believable, given the circumstances they were in. Their passionate kisses were the perfect substitute for the usual K-drama kisses, which are more like pecks. This drama had what you could call real kisses.

MY OPNION SUMMED UP:
The love story is believable and touching, yet I feel like it was a side story. Still, I highly enjoyed it. I would give it an 8. I truly suggest this drama to those who enjoy idol dramas that realistically showcase the life of an idol and the perspective of a fan, while also giving an exciting plot in the form of crime and love. I do have to say that for a 12-episode drama, they wasted time on many unnecessary scenes, when it all could have gone to show more of the ace lawyer side of Meng Sena that she was supposed to be.

ACTING:

Choi Sooyoung g as Meng Sena:
As an girlgroup member herself, she knew how to act like a fan yet also how to show sympathy towards the ML. The moments where Meng Sena stood up for Do Laik, is when she shined the most in my opinion. Her concern and sympathy were the best moments in her acting.

Kim Jaeyong as Do Laik:
Cute. Handsome. Just absolutely cute. If you only need one reason to watch this drama, he is more than enough. Not only did he act well when being cheeky, jealous and cute.. He also acted so well during the distressed moments in Do Laik's life. His tears and the scenes where he acted as panicked, distressed and devastated were raw and real. It was an impressive performance.

I am giving this an 8. The actors especially made this a truly enjoyable drama

The drama tells a story about a Gumiho, who wants to be a human.

The plot starts well, it’s interesting and from the very start the Gumiho (Mi-Ho) gets my symphathy. She is freed by Cha Daewoong, so she decides to help him. A goblin appeares in Mi-Ho’s life and wants to help her to become human.

The drama is good but i wished more.

THE LET DOWNS

- The usual rich guy, poor girl.

- Mi-Ho keeps asking Cha Daewoong to buy her
meat, even though he doesn’t have much money.

-She is too bubbly towards him. He keeps being mean to her, but she she still tries to approach him. I wished for a little more elegance from her. Kind and bubbly but some of the things she says..i feel like doesn’t fit for a Gumiho. I feel like she was lacking some ”supernatural spice”

- I was hoping Mi-Ho to be a cool Gumiho. Was hoping kind of badass scenes like ”Mi-Ho saving Dae Woong”

- she kept following him everywhere. U were trapped for 500 years and all u wanna do is follow a guy who is mean to you, just cuz he buys u food? You don’t wanna go see what has changed in the last 500years?

-She was so naive and little..stupid for a fox. Foxes are usually pretty smart and sure it takes time to get used to a new world, but i feel like she should have known not to go through trash or eat soap or drink someone’s left over coffee..

-Dongjoo.. i wished him better. He was very interesting character. I was hoping to see more of him and his personal story too. I felt bad because he was just repeating his words over and over again. There was no progression. I kinda think they could have went a little bit further with the love triangle and given Mi-Ho and Dong-Joo at least some actually romantic scenes.

-Tell me again, what was the point of telling us that Cha Daewoong’s parents are dead..? His fear of the Zoo was solved in a blink of an eye.

-The ending.. So rushed. The ending twist was wrapped up in under 12minutes..

THE GOODS:

-The supporting couple. Minsuk and director Ban..they were the real couple here!

-Mi-Ho and Cha Daewoong always solved problems fast.

-Mi-Ho’s background story was very touching.
I felt bad for her and wished her to find true happiness.

-Dongjoo’s kind actions towards Mi-Ho. He didn’t buy any meat before Mi-Ho started visiting often.

- The way how their love progressed. I like the fact that Cha Daewoong started liking her little by little. The cute little jealousy that followed when he started liking her.

-I did like that fact that Mi-Ho was always kind and never wanted to be a bad guy. She was pure and funny. She tried hard to become human. She almost never lost her hope on things and always hoped for the best.

It was really nice ”lovey dovey romantic comedy drama” my biggest problems just happened to be Mi-Ho’s personality. It has a lot of sweet moments and funny moments. The acting was great, especially Noh MinWoo..
