Just my opinion: i think it comes down to how good the director and script is...if those are average, no one will care about who was casted as an actress. But having said that, it's true he is focusing too much on japan and japanese fans. How beneficial will it be is a question that will be answered in the future. At the end i think his focus should be on script quality, no matter what anyone says his 2024 dramas had very average writing
I read the premise of disney plus drama " low life" and it seems this the show with ryu seung ryong that was offered to jcw, which he rejected. So disney gave him roles in low life, manipulated and twelve, wow.

Exactly..tbh lee jung jae was not what made the series great his character should have been killed much before, but i am sure they didn't have much of a story planned after S1 so they kept him. (Also he probably has a lot of power in korean ent)
Final lesson from the show: If anything is remotely profitable, it will be captured and used by the american capitalists. 🤣(Just like in this case squid games s1 was popular so they forcefully made 2 more seasons and now a hollywood version judging from the ending)

They know this show is a cash cow for them therefore they want to continue it hollywood style, hence the ending. That old captain just kills someone and 1 guy catches him and no one even believes him and the police directly tell everythingon phone.Also In real life i can guarantee you that poor people are never so greedy. I understand the players have debts but when the game literally involves killing others they would stop. It's not some big psychological phenomena, this show wants us to believe poor people will behave like animals if you throw them money. I fundamentally disagree with that. Maybe when the games don't involve killing directly then people would have continued.
