There were hardly 4 or 5 big projects this year. Boyfriend on demand, ctlbt , scandal, tantara and remarried empress. Jcw is already doing a romcom so bod and ctlbt were out. He is already on disney plus so remarried empress was out. Overall i think scandal was the only big project suited for him.

It damages reputation because most kdrama fans don't watch korean shows for these kind of scenes. I don't have any problem but the majority is like that. Also in scandal that scene might be necessary but if jcw again appears in a show like this it could turn out like queen woo. Even in scandal son ye jin could have done scenes like that but she didn't. I think that's enough to say. And most importantly, jcw is an actor who doesn't need to do these shows simply because he is too good even in mainstream shows like k2 and suspicious partner.

Whatever you say about the drama it doesn't deserve 6.9/10. Easy 7.5 or 8. This is obviously due review bombing by puritans who don't know anything about dangerous liaisons or the original movie. They see some sex scenes and rating goes downhill

Yeah they are fine..i said crazy cuz no one did that level of exposure in kdramas by a list actors

If jcw wants to explore range..he should actively try getting casted in roles like doctor, lawyer or like special agents and detective like k2 or twoe

Guys i don't think you realize but this kind of directors are really bad for ji chang wook. I have seen many knetz comments also. He just wants to strip the clothes of younger actors and actresses. He did same in somebody also. The only reason i can support jcw doing these roles is if he did it to get awards or he gets movie offers. The worst thing about these type of works is that he will keep getting casted in these. We already saw he got scandal literally just after queen woo. It's much better if he goes back to action than this. It subtly damages reputation

I think more than her acting or looks they totally made her character boring. Just look at any other good version like cruel intentions or the 1988 film..people will understand that madame mertueil was the most manipulative and evil character. Somehow i found her character very boring in this show. They even hesitated to show her as full evil

Yes in other words she is equally playful/naughty/evil as cho won but in this version it's the complete opposite. That is what i said

I agree with different interpretation but then they should not lose the essence of the character.. lady cho wasn't able to create much tension in this version..she didn't face any mortal danger too. It's the fault of the writer.

I know there was nothing between valmont and mertuil but she had scenes with others..i am not talking only about showing skin..the character itself was wrongly interpreted by this writer.

Ok i have to say this since i saw some comments: i really hope that syj didn't change the script to cut out every skinship scenes of her character..because that will be a real shame. I believe she is a true professional and didn't do this but it's possible for sure. Even hyun bin actively avoided kiss scenes after marriage. I am saying this because lady cho in this version was the most toned down and frankly useless. She was shown like an epitome of love and longing who had to leave cho won in her childhood but that is the farthest thing from the book/previous versions. She was as naughty and evil as cho won if not more. So she had to have some scenes like that of her own. Dangerous liaisons was never about progressive women (it was written in 1782 for gods sake) it was about decadence of nobility , about manipulation and love games.
