Watched all 8 eps. Overall 8.5/10 for me. It was a very good show that adapted the novel to the joseon era. It felt like i was watching an expensive live theater or an art film rather than kdrama and that was the intention of the director..no effort was spared in the bold scenes as well esp from jcw and nana. Even ignoring the bold scenes it was exceptional acting by the cast. They beautifully recreated the yangban life of late joseon. It was great that they gave flashbacks at the right moments and those scenes conveyed how the characters grew up Cons: there could have been some bigger things at stake especially in the middle eps and i don't know why they wanted to include so much comic relief. Other than that it was pretty good The haters will always hate..ignore them.
Total acting feast..i would give joint 1st prize to ji chang wook and son ye jin and joint 2nd to nana and han sun hwa..han sun hwa definitely surprised me

Wow chang wook was really special appearance in hard hit..so excluding special appearance, he was lead role in only 3 movies till now..very underutilised in film industry

Song joong ki is not considered a top actor nowadays..had some very bad flop movies and series and public perception in korea is really bad due to shk controversy..seo in guk is definitely top actor maybe not top 3 but definitely top 10
Ji chang wook's character seems to be totally chaotic and fun loving type, humorous at times, son ye jin's seems to be very serious and completely focussed on her goals..and nana seems to be sad and tragic
