I don't dare to watch, too tragic, only watched a bit of the trailer. But Leslie looked so mesmerizing and his acting was just goddamn smoothed and flowed like water.
If I were to choose only 1 thing I love the best about this drama, the would be the ENDING. SOO satisfying!!
He thought women were playing, he wanted to bestow love or punish as please, a pure scum in my eyes. ENDING? He played women then when the women can't take it anymore, "THEY" schemed for his life and played him back on his deathbed lolzz 😈😈 People compared Ying Luo of Story of Yanxi palace with Zhen Huan but I think it's completely different. It's like the different between meeting a scum and meeting a man who having difficulty in believing in love. Anyway, I love the ending of Legend of Zhen Huan more, satisfying! Karma is real!!
Ep 30 and some sneak peek into ep 31-32, my feeling is as messy as the plots. ARE YOU FOR REAL, SCREENWRITER?? I skimmed through the novel a bit as not to spoil the drama too much but after the field war, there is still harem war?? After they entered the capital, I fast-forwarded so much that 1 ep only last 15min for me, the screenwriter seemed to want to write a peak of the drama but ended up writing a messy peak, the same wtf emoji popped up in my head during these several eps. And as the cmt stated, this is like a Marty-stu drama, named "Shang Yi Zhi join politic" (and use amai as steps) instead. Omg, I'll drop this drama for now and wait for it to end then pickup, phew.. so exhausted.

RIGHT!! She wasn't only cross-dressing, she transformed inside-out. I watched 2 of her dramas, included this one and I'm falling in love with her acting. THIS WOMAN IS REAL DEAL!!! But her dramas were so less despite her years of career, I wonder what happen.
Just with the opening and ending theme songs and I already feel that the drama would ended with the FL being on her own. How can an emperor marry his general, even the emperor was willing but I don't think the general was. Then the SML, no matter how everyone want them to be together, FL wouldn't want that. Her father fought all his life with SML's country and even dead because of the conspiracy so first 'Nope'. FL seem to admire SML's intelligence and bravery but there was no passion in her eyes, so they could be a trusted friend but marriage would a no-no. Also, SML seem to fall in love with FL fast ah, no, I should say ML in this drama fell in love as fast as at first-second sight.
Though, with all the criticisms I wrote, I still enjoy the actors and actress's acting very much, especially FL. Love her!
IKR!! The hell they only gave 1 and a half eps to separate the couple of 22 eps. I also started ‘cause of the comedy, the world is now already stressful enough but they had to give us an even more frustrated ending, my goodness!
Such a rush ending, everything between them was smooth until ep 23 but end with goodbye-forever in ep 24, are you kidding me?! When i saw the cutting scene at the beginning of the ending song, I even thought they get married and have baby, why? Just why?! Such a light-heart drama but author and screenwriter has always to end with sad ending. Tbh, I don’t want season 2 as it’s rare for season 2 to be as good as season 1, I just need 1 or 2 ep for problem-solvng + happy family ending but it just won’t happen, ok, so I’m dropping it now, after watching for 22 eps and jump to watch 15min ending.
I only saw a few scenes of hers in ever night and the best of you in my mind but man, her acting is great, the chemi with the ml and her emotion on scene, she's one of the few newbies that I love, though 5 years of acting is not that new but she look so young and cute that give me the feeling of youth. 27? my goodness!!

Then what is your pro about her? I only saw you list the cons. She may not be good at being sentimental and sad but she’s very good at comedy. That’s one of the reasons she didn’t catch the audiences’ attention when she stared as a timid and serious supporting role in Cinderella cheif that I wanted to shout wtf with u to her in that role. But when she stared in oh my emperor, she began to catch attention because she’s so very natural in funny scenes if you didn’t notice, even her accent is funny, her romantic act is a little tsundere which is trendy these days. These are her strong pros that not many actresses have and that also got me addicted to her drama. After that even she got many main roles but almost all are rom-com so why not her?? Her beauty? For me, many newbies are more beautiful than her but no one is like her (yet). By the way, did you watch her recent interview?
