?? I think you are misunderstanding me, I was in no way reading harsh criticism into your words. It was your opinion and you are welcome to share your likes and dislikes. But I also can share with you what I think even if that means I disagree with some of the things you say . You use the example of student teacher to hint the type of relationship between the two leads and I just want to point out that it is more of age gap because to me if you use student teacher as a example, it can be misleading.

I agree with you! Adaptation arent meant to follow the novel exactly as it is written. There will always be parts that are kept, parts that are cut out or changed and there might even be parts that are added to make the adaptation more real. I have learn to never compare a adaptation to a novel...just enjoy it and take in all the changes. I for one thing will find it boring if I already know what is going to happen next just because I read the novel and the drama is exactly as it is.

When it comes to drama, there will be those who like it and those who dislike it. Not everyone has to agree but I wouldnt say their relationship is like a student and a teacher, its more like if you arent comfortable with the age gap than this might not be for you. They are in two different career and both grown adults so there isnt anything wrong here. I on the other hand like their relationship and finds it amusing. Guwei to me is a refreshing new character who is as you stated odd and can be awkward but its different from the typical ML we get these days that it is entertaining and interesting so I like it. Not to mention we are only 7 ep into the story so for sure Guwei will go through more changes as he started to fall inlove. The FL is also very good too and isnt the cutesy type which I can no longer stand. XZ acting in my opinion is already really good considering this was his very first modern drama. There might be instances where you can point out the flaws but its not overwhelming that it will affect the entire drama. To me its pretty small and most of the time unnoticeable. Majority of the time his acting was great and he made Guwei a enjoyable character, well to me anyway 😊

What she did was better than any hug in my opinion, trust me...you will start to like her. I finished ep 6 and I am so grateful for her to help pull him out of his shell and begain to regain his confidence...she even put a genuine smile on his face 😊

I dont think he actually physically kick her...could be a figure of speech...but it is the typical asian parent behavior when their kids misbehave...I know I was hit a few times and yell at for being naughty growing up because my parent too is also very strict but my bond with my parent are still tight 😊

Finished watching ep 6 and its a a roller-coaster ride of emotions! You will be smiling one minute of the sweetness, laughing for the comedy, sad for the traumatic event and than crying the next. Ep 5 and 6 is by far the best regaridng development in relationships and family. I cried so hard on these two ep, reminded me of my own experiences with my father he too had cancer and passed. This drama is by far the best! Cant wait for more!

Watched 4 ep in chinese and 3 ep subbed and I love it! Its fresh, light, fluffy and very sweet. The characters development are also good, cant wait to see more of LZX and GW 🥰

The chinese version tencent is up to ep 4 for VIP....it seems to follow the number of ep released on Hunan TV. I dont think tencent will release more ep than what is being shown on TV. All you have to do is download the chinese version of tencent, log into your account and buy the VIP. Usually it will have a option for that on any VIP video or in your account. I always find google translate to be very helpful

Ok, first of all...if your type of drama is about suspense, crime solving ass kicking, alien invasion type of plot than yes, this might not be your cup of tea however to call it a very bad drama without even seeing it first is just wrong. The fact that you even threw in "XiaoZhan fan requires a lot of sacrifices" is even more wrong. Being a fan is not about sacrificing...our job is to just support him and love him in anything he chooses to do. If you dont like this type of theme than dont watch, no one is forcing you and asking you to sacrifice anything and you definitely dont need to call it a very bad drama with out even watching it. Hell, all we got is just a summary...no character info or their back story either

It doesnt have to be VIP. There are free episode release everyday but if you want to watch advance episodes then yes, it would be VIP
